The Dongers Club – September 18th

No weather issues tonight.

This is a really deep set of arms tonight with about 5 higher end Starting Pitchers grading out as okay to use.

  1. Lance McCullers Jr
  2. Corbin Burnes … Obviously can be a 40 point guy, but 2 of his last three have been in that range and Milwaukee would be wise to not push him too long today.
  3. Lance Lynn … The Rangers are probably the one bad leverage team that would not shock me to beat up on one of these popular arms today — that said, Lynn is a bulldog and is going to give you 100 pitches no matter what.

Value Pitchers

There aren’t many to look at here to trust with so many 20+ point guys on the slate.  Kris Bubic is the only one who can go deep enough to hit value and Daulton Jefferies might gain some ownership but he is likely limited to 3 innings.

In terms of teams that I would attack these are the teams in good spots to have nice hitting nights

  1. Houston … Bregman and Correa are very affordable but Marwin Gonzalez for min price back in Houston is someone we should consider here as well to fit in Houston with the higher priced pitchers.
  2. Kansas City
  3. Milwaukee
  4. Chicago White Sox

CATCHER

  1. Salvy vs Kikuchi???  Wow, they don’t get much more one sided.
