MNF Showdown – Cowboys vs Giants

Divisional game tonight between Dallas and New York with the Cowboys having dominated the recent contests between these teams and won easily back in week 1.

Notable Injuries:  Sterling Shepard is OUT tonight for the Giants.

 

CORE SHOWDOWN TARGETS

DALLAS COWBOYS

RB – Zeke Elliott – $11,600

The Giants haven’t exactly been a stone wall against good running backs this season and fading Zeke on Showdown is basically hoping for Dallas to refuse to give him touches inside the 10 where I think he gets 2 TD tonight, so yeah, don’t fade him.

QB – Dak Prescott – $10,400

The last two times these teams met Dak went for 387 and 404 yards with 4 TD in each game.  But there is a major gotcha.  Zeke sat out one of those games and the other was week 1 this year when he was playing off very limited practice time with the team after his hold out.  If this was a regular slate I would shy away from buying into another huge Dak game based on previous game logs, but he should still have a good night against the Giants and be viable in Showdown.

  • Randall Cobb – $4,800
  • Tavon Austin – $3,200

 

NY GIANTS

QB – Daniel Jones, $8,000

This is a spot of going value.  To me tonight you either need to have the combination of Daniel Jones opposite Zeke Elliott or Saquon Barkley opposite Amari Cooper.  It’s a $ correlation combination that allows for getting good players into a full lineup tonight in a game that should have a ton of points in it.  Jones at 8k has too much value associated with him and in my mind has a great game tonight vs Dallas.

TE – Evan Engram – $7,800

With Shepard out there is some thought to locking in Barkley or going to Golden Tate or value Giants WR, but Evan Engram has scored a TD in the last 3 games vs Dallas, including an 11 catch, 116 yard performance back in week 1.  Lock him in tonight and give him Captain consideration as well.

PLAYER PROPS TO CONSIDER

Randall Cobb TD prop is one of my favorite plays tonight for it’s value, but Evan Engram receptions OVER is the best play on the board.

Every home team won on Sunday and we saw an upset last night on Sunday Night (technically an upset), so lets go with one more tonight.
