No surprise here, McDavid is the top player on the slate and the highest priced at a strong center position considering that this is just a four-game slate. With the way Edmonton’s offense has started off it’s tough to look elsewhere when starting lineups beyond McDavid. Vegas’ defense has been lacking early on allowing the most shots per 60 at 5v5 through three games.

I’m being pretty obvious here but sometimes being obvious is being right. Matthews comes in after making his season debut a couple of nights ago against the Rangers and looked like his wrist was perfectly fine as he fired eight shots on goal. Unfortunately, AM34 wasn’t able to light the lamp but with another opportunity on Friday I don’t expect the shot volume to change and Matthews’ upside is immense.
Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak
More often than not when the Bruins are playing their first line will be worth a look as far as stacking. With a short slate and a matchup that they can exploit against an overachieving Buffalo Sabres’ team thus far, I’ll back the top line and not think twice.
William Karlsson, Jonathan Marchessault, Reilly Smith, Alec Martinez
NOTE: Check on Martinez’s status before game. If he’s out, pivot to Alex Pietrangelo
With Vegas still dealing with injuries and in a game that should see plenty of scoring chances on both sides, look at the Knights’ top line along with Martinez tonight. All four skaters correlate on the power-play and with Martinez you’re getting a solid fantasy point producer with a night floor blocking shots and getting pucks to the net at a mid-range salary.
*Not mentioned in “key skaters'” section. Last skater at each position is my favorite value

GOOD LUCK!!
