NFL Notes – Week 6

Titans

(OU: TBD)

• Tennessee has a let down.
• David Johnson scores – Dom read something about him being showcased and can see him catching one in the air.
• Tenn is better team.  Might be a wash game.
• This is an under.  Nothing you want to invest in.
• Houston stealing a win.
• Would have to come from the Houston defense.
• J.J. Watttttttttt sighting.  Sack, forced fumble, turnover.
• Maybe Jonnu Smith.

• Not expecting offensive fireworks.  Path to beating both teams this year has been on the ground and neither team has a ground game that is rolling.  Sorry D-Henry hype, but he is not getting the big runs for lots of yards right now.
• Plus I feel speed backs are what is killing the Texans defense.
• Have to like the Tight Ends to score in this game.  Fuller and Cobb for Houston are tempting me and I could see Fuller breaking away from the Titans secondary for a big touchdown and having a lot of yards.  But the Tight Ends are the right plays.
• Jonnu Smith and Darren Fells.  More Jonnu Smith for me though.
• Just don’t see the game shooting out despite being a tempting game to like.
• Texans win.  Jonnu Smith does all the damage for Tennessee.

Eagles

(OU: 48)

• Defensive orientation from PIT-PHI comes to fruition in this game
• Dom likes the Eagle D.  Likes Eagles D.
• How do you not like Mark Andrews though?
• Mark Andrews definitely scores
• Dom thinks he catches 8 passes.  Not sure about 100 yards
• 8-??-1 TD for Andrews.
• Eagles force a ton of turnovers
• We have a Zach Ertz sighting (TE week?), dont need him though
• No Marquise feel, no running game feel.
• Lamar makes mistakes and is bad chalk.
• Wentz pickle, fumbles, turnovers….  No Brown.

• Lamar is having a horrible season.  His only hope in this game is Mark Andrews.
• Mark Andrews 6 for 80 and a touchdown
• Lamar works with TE because his accuracy sucks and they are big targets.
• Dom was right about Eagles offense.
• But if Alshon/DJax come back I cannot trust a single thing on this game.
• Is Harbaugh back in Philly a thing here or nah?
• Not sure I like much in this game.  Would be better at 4pm.
• Cant like the first game with Alshon/DJax back in.  Just can’t like that.
• But Zach Ertz does make an appearance.  It’s just one drive, but he gets 5 catches and 60 yards on the drive alone.  Feels like a 23-17 final score.
• I could be missing something on the Ravens side?  But what?

(OU: 54.5)

• Dom asks how do you not love Matt Ryan, gotta love Ryan?
• Ridley scores.  Gage 80 or 90 yards easy.
• How do you not love Matt Ryan
• Dom thinks Atlanta could win.  If Cook was playing Ryan’s numbers would be better.  Without Cook Atlanta wins easier but Ryan’s ceiling is limited.
• Cook allows MIN to score easier.
• MIN coming off a bad loss, should have won.
• Alexander Mattison will catch 6 or 7 balls. He’s all about price and what’s his price.  Not a must start.  DK play over FD.
• Justin Jefferson jumps back on the scene & scores, gets in the box.  under 100 yards receiving.
• Initial ceiling thoughts on Ryan coming down a little bit.
• Definitely fireworks in this game, QB ceiling #’s in this game.
• Cousins might all of the sudden be the nugget.

• Well Alexander Mattison chalk.  Right?  DK did a decent enough job with his pricing but he’s still the most obvious chalky play of the weekend.
• If Julio is out we gotta consider Vikings D.  They’ll get 3+ sacks, good chance they score too.  Them scoring could really negate Mattison or they turn it over and get him a 5 yard touchdown run.
• Cousins rushes a TD in.  I’ve seen this game before.  Cousins with a rushing TD.
• Cousins throws a TD to Mattison (or Boone).
• Cousins finishes with 3 passing TD, under 300 yards passing.
• Vikings have been competitive enough to try and salvage the season
• Falcons obviously are completely done and headed for 3-13 blow it up territory.
• Vikings D line should eat up Falcons O line.
• Vikings D & Vikings RB.  Cousins prop bets worth considering.

(OU: 51)

• Dom may have found his DFS smash spot.
• JuJu at home.
• Dom likes Big Ben and Offense.  Odell squeeky wheel for CLE
• Big Ben again.
• Ben lets it rip.  JuJu 100 and a touchdown.
• Dionte Johnson definitely scores and most definitely scores and that’s your way of getting exposure after the Claypool breakout.
• Dionte Johnson is a sharp play.
• Everything Cleveland does centers around Baker.  Runs one in.
• Pit wins by a FG, but folks come away saying CLE is for real and some referee penalty at the end causes PIT to win at end.
• Someone else is catching ball from Baker in End Zone.

• All the blood, all the spit, all the fights.
• Steelers try to go physical and pound James Conner (who isnt good) and the other RB all game long.  James Conner if cheap is on radar.
• I’m not drawing anything from Browns offense.  Ugly game for them.
• Baker banged up.  Thin at RB.  Landry banged up.  Ugly game.
• Bad time for Browns to face Steelers.  This could get ugly.
• How in the world is the total 51?
• How in the world is this going to score 40 points, let alone 50?

Colts

(OU: 46)

• First name = Jonathan Taylor
• Why would they not pound Jonathan Taylor at home 25 times?
• Tyler Boyd could be a DK play this week.
• Mixon 60 to 80 yards and a touchdown.
• Why would the Colts not just hand off 25 times to Taylor min.
• Taylor is this week’s Zeke.  Lock in and move on?
• At home.  Large favorite.  Big backs on Bengals.

• So the Bengals suddenly decided to baby Burrow.
• Bengals looked like they didnt even game plan this past week off a win.
• There is so much in this game which is just bait.  like the Cincy players…
• Colts off a loss back at home have to get something going.  Rivers is horrible though.
• TY Hilton?  Jack Doyle?  Jonathan Taylor chalk again?
• It’s probably a pass for me, Rivers is not ever going to get it done to make them DFS relevant and Jonathan Taylor has not shown break away ability in the NFL.
• REMOVE Carson Palmer & Chad Johnson sitting in the stands from your memory.

Jaguars

(OU: 54)

• Kenny Golladay … he sings.  Celebrate.
• C’Mon Kenny Golla-Golladay.
• Love some Kenny G. but also some Marvin Jones Jr get in box
• Golladay gets in the game 120 and 1, possibly 2 TD for KennyG
• Marvin Jones 4 for 40 and a touchdown
• That’s 3 TD for Matt Stafford.  Uh, wow.
• Liking too much?
• Love offense, covering over/under, 54-55, says 53.
• Garner Minshew keeps up, they lose no doubt.  Minshew keeps up and there’s nobody on Jags side you have to own though.
• Robinson scores, Shenault scores, Chark scores.  But maybe nobody you have to own there.  Shenault scores on end around.
• No doubt, end around, he trucks someone to get in.
• not sure how Robinson scores, might be on the ground.
• Chark typical 20 yard corner pylon touchdown.
• Golladay goes beast mode.  Stafford does very well.
• Some other QB priced similar beats out Stafford by half point.

• Give me all the Lions
• Matt Stafford, Kenny G, Marvin Jones, even TJ Hockenson hype again!
• Mostly Marvin Jones and Kenny G.
• But seriously.  Marvin Jones.
• Stafford to Jones x2!
• Stafford accounts for a lot of touchdowns, not sure on all the yards (i.e. not 400, more around 280-320)
• Shenault finally shines on the other side.  Chark in consideration too, but Shenault is the #1 now.
• Minshew could mount some drives on the comeback, but not gonna use him.
• Lions win.  Lions better.  Lions got through BYE, chance to make noise.
• Lions offense negates James Robinson

(OU: 44)

• This is all Bears.
• Allen Robinson to create some havoc.
• Could even see the Bears defense scoring.
• Cordarrelle Patterson scores.
• Chicago ground game and Allen Robinson
• 24-10 Chicago win.
• Carolina has a let down.  They have a WTF was that game even though it’s at home.  Robinson 7-72 and a touchdown.
• Not shocked if Montgomery scores.
• Nothing on the Carolina side.

• Panthers have to win with Mike Davis
• Didn’t Rasul Douglas lock down Allen Robinson last year?
• I think Foles will throw it to Robinson a ton, but Trubisky didn’t in that game.
• I remember that game.  It was a fucking disaster.
• Bears wont run consistently here.  Just dont get the feeling on them doing that.
• So Robinson somehow pulls 100 yards out of his hat or Jimmy Graham has a big day.
• Brain says Bears win, gut says Panthers pull it out.
• Has to be Mike Davis or Panthers D which scores.
• Allen Robinson is a tough call for me.  Gut says he has a big game, but uncertain.

• Antonio Gibson could have 40 & 40 and a TD
• Washington wins game, controls line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.  Daniel Jones makes mistakes.
• Washington Defense if they score a great punt defense to own this week.
• This is the week that Logan Thomas scores.
• Washington Defense, Antonio Gibson, Logan Thomas.
• Low scoring ball control win by Washington.
• They are well coached in this game.

• J.D. McKissic and Antonio Gibson baby!
• Didn’t Terry McLauren DESTROY the Giants last year?
• I think McLauren is too quick/shifty for Bradberry, or he lines up in the slot and avoids him.
• Not going to Evan Engram.
• Not really trusting much on the Giants side of the ball and I am not sure why.

(OU: 47.5)

• Don’t know how the Jets win by a FG but they win by a FG
• Dont ask how.
• Kicker makes a FG.
• Miami name popping up.  Myles Gaskin catches 6 or 7 out of the backfield dont know why.  If he is $4k on DK that’s a flex option
• Jets win by three, Gaskin shit ton of balls.

• Dolphins were supposed to be on a BYE
• Uhhhh
• Uhhhh
• Help?
• Is this the Adam Gase game?
• You wont play it in DFS, but you can bet it.  That’s it.

(OU: 45.5)

• Dom initially liked Burkhead, like N’Keal Harry to score.
• Like Noah Fant on the other side of the ball.
• If Lock is starting – KJ Hamler catches a bomb
• If Driskell is starting – Noah Fant
• Either way Harry scores.
• What about Damien Harris?
• Does Harris get some yards?

• Pass again?  I assume Cam is back?
• Is this a Cam Newton naked game?
• When’s the last time the Broncos played a football game?
• Does this game shoot the moon because two teams who haven’t played in a while are dog shit on defense?
• Nothing here feels right or safe, lots of questions.
• I didn’t like this game before and I certainly don’t love it now but are we starting N’Keal Harry in the points league.

Bucs

(OU: 47.5)

• Dom does not think this lives up to the hype
• Dom is thinking of a secondary Packers WR not named Adams/MVS.
• Godwin gets in rythym with Brady.  Don’t see fireworks.
• Don’t see defenses playing great either.  Just a blah game
• See Tampa winning after the 4th down debacle.
• No style points, just get the W.
• DFS players heart broken by investing too much in this game.
• Air let out if you have key players here after 1PM good start.

• Contrarian Aaron Jones game.  Vita Veay injury gets overlooked and everyone rushes to the Rodgers-Adams back together but Jones scores one via the air and one via the ground.
• I think Tampa wins but I’m not sure how.  Everything is contrarian here.
• The Quarterbacks get the attention but it could be the RB who dominate.
• Who the hell is the RB for Tampa?  Fournette healthy here?
• Tampa = New England 2.0.  Hard to predict.
• Aaron Jones again.  Reminds me of their game at Dallas last year (?)

• The San Francisco 49ers had the ultimate look ahead game with the Dolphins last week and this is going to be a fantastic football game.
• That’s honestly all I got.
