CLEMSON vs NOTRE DAME
I love trusting the stars in big time match-ups and Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne and Amari Rodgers fit into that mold. There is value all over this slate at WR and so you can certainly get a good game stack in here and even consider Clemson value Braden Galloway (9 targets over last two games) as well. Clemson is too deep on offense and despite losing at Notre Dame earlier this season we still saw Travis Etienne get up near 20 fantasy points in that game that Lawrence missed. I actually believe Lawrence is a boost for Etienne as they use him a TON more in these big time matchups. It’s time to shine for these future NFL draft picks.

BOISE STATE vs SAN JOSE STATE
The last game of the day is one that should have some fireworks in it. The Mountain West game is being played outdoors in Las Vegas so the weather is perfect for airing it out and that’s what Boise State should be looking to do with stud WR Khali Shakir and secondary WR CT Thomas as two great plays here. Both teams benefit from a relatively easy schedule but the underlying stats show that San Jose State’s pass defense can be exploited with accuracy.
Boise Sophomore QB Hank Bachmeier completed 66% of his passes through four games (he missed two due to injury) this year and they’re going to throw it likely north of 30+ times. All this adds up to a 10 catch day for Shakir and makes this into a nice back and forth game stack play.
For San Jose they should be able to run on Boise with Tyler Nevens but it’s Tre Walker and Bailey Gaither at WR who have potential to blow this game up if Boise’s defense doesnt show up. If this game is going over, they’re going to produce.

CHALK GAME IM LIGHT ON
OLE MISS VS LSU
If this game had been a couple weeks ago it would have been my only mention of the entire article. But we have Ole Miss with their two best pass catchers (including Elijah Moore!) opting out now for the NFL and LSU coming off a big upset (their Super Bowl basically) over Florida last weekend. This game on paper and in the statistics screams fantasy gold, but in reality it screams flop city. That said, there’s still tons of value in this spot to consider and it’s not like this is a loaded 14 game slate either.
Ole Miss Plays
- RB: Jerrion Early and Snoop Conner. You can dominate LSU on the ground if you want this season and both these guys get a boost with Moore out. Snoop is very sneaky at $4,000 if this game turns into a 35-10 Ole Miss blowout.
- WR: Jonathan Mingo … He’s dirt cheap and now the #1 WR. LSU will be without stud CB Derek Stingley.
LSU Plays
- RB: Chris Curry … All signs point to Curry being the main RB for LSU today
- WR: Kayshon Boutte … Boutte has emerged all season long as the new future LSU star WR.

QUARTERBACKS
Trevor Lawrence – Clemson
Totally contrarian play of taking a QB in a game that matters who also just happens to be the best QB in the country and should put Notre Dame in their place.
Hank Bachmeier – Boise State
Target games which should be good and back and forth. This one sets up to be a sneaky shootout.
OFF THE WALL VALUE PLAY
Graham Mertz – Wisconsin – Value
I think it’s back to Let Mertz Cook week. Mertz will no doubt be 2% or less owned, but this is a spot to let the freshman get some huge confidence going into 2021. Facing a horrific Minnesota defense he’ll be able to add in some rushing upside too and for his dirt cheap price he’s basically a pivot off some value WR plays this week.
RUNNING BACKS
Travis Etienne – Clemson
Payback time and with Trevor Lawrence back under center in this re-match it’s going to be the home RB Travis Etienne who gets to flourish. Notre Dame had a really good defense and held Etienne relatively in check in the prior meeting when they upset a Trevor-less Clemson team. But I have always felt Clemson saves Etienne for heavy usage in the big must win games and that’s what we have here today. With the Lawrence threat he should get over 20 fantasy points.
Ty Jordan – Utah
I prefer Etienne but if you save $ on Quarterback you can go both these stud RB to have a nice floor lineup of two 20 point outings when QB is fairly thin this week.
Jerrion Ealy – Ole Miss
Elijah Moore is gone from Ole Miss and headed to the NFL. All those quick passes to Moore are going to get spread around but the most benefit has to funnel through Ealy.
Ainias Smith – Texas A&M
Gets WR1 usage despite still having the RB designation.
Joquavious Marks – Mississippi State
WIDE RECEIVERS
Khalil Shakir – Boise State
Rely upon your studs in big games and Boise State will find a way to feed Shakir 10+ times in this game. Gotta like Wilson more in the upper 8k range but I also am okay with forcing in both and then some cheap value WR if you pivot off Boutte mid range chalk.
Garrett Wilson – Ohio State
I have always preferred Olave but he is rumored out with COVID. So that makes Wilson an elite play if true.
Kayshon Boutte – LSU
Boutte has been emerging for weeks and should realistically be a $1,000 more considering he’s drawing double digit targets and facing a terrible Ole Miss defense while at home. I do like looking at another Freshman on LSU in Koy Moore who is only $3,500 but Boutte is the chalk WR we gotta like today in the most popular game of the day. Honestly, I only like going Boutte and Ealy in this game as I see it not living up to the magical over/under hype that is displayed out there. LSU certainly had their major win last week but in reality it’s Ole Miss who I think has mailed it in now and we’re just gonna see a game going through the motions mostly.
Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman – Northwestern
Just call him RCBTD. Drawing 25% of the targets that Northwestern QB Peyton Ramsey will throw including a huge 14 target outing three weeks ago. If Northwestern is going to stay in this game, he will have to show up.
