NFL Notes – Wild Card Round

Bills

• Ground game and defense gets it done for Bills in this matchup
• Really cannot torch the Colts secondary
• 24-13 Bills win
• Not flashy, but sign of a good team to win and manage through a game
• See Josh Allen running one in, passing medium TD (Beasley or Knox) and then Moss or Singletary runs the other in.
• Not a big fantasy fest for either side.
• QB advances to week 2.

• Colts play well and stay competitive.
• They utilize all their RB.  Max 5 catches for any non RB.  Max 50 yards for any non RB.  MAX….  That includes the TE.   So it’s very much spread around and if you can hit the nuts on the TD on the Saturday only slate take it.
• I could see a TE for the Colts scoring, the Bills seem to be weak vs TE the most.
• I think the key is Indianapolis converting first downs.  And they take the ball control approach.  If they can sustain that, they pull off the upset.
• Bills WR will deliver.  Diggs finishes around 90 yards, not over.  Not a must own.
• If Diggs blows up, you hang it up and play showdown all weekend.
• Not sure I trust the Bills other WR outside of them being a value.  Not McKenzie.
• Probably gotta like one of John Brown or Gabe Davis to score.
• Josh Allen will account for 2 TD via the air.  Maybe a third on the ground.
• Josh Allen is extremely safe here, but might not justify the cost.

Seahawks

• These teams are who they are at this point
• Opportunity for any sort of fireworks is gone
• Seattle secondary is better
• Beat the Rams on the ground
• Metcalf cant do dick vs Ramsey — enough evidence there now
• Not shocked if its another snoozefest, 13-9 type of game
• The one edge is do they let Chris Carson eat.

• This is extremely simple.  On the Saturday only slate you load up and stack the entire game or you just move on.
• Chris Carson gets the workload.  RB sucks.  Take him.
• Cam Akers will rush the ball a ton.  He did not play two weeks ago in this game.
• It’s simple, depends on the Rams.  You are in or out.
• I don’t see this being a must own Wilson blow up game.
• Best case this game is 26-23.  Likely more like 20-16.

Skins

• JD out of the backfield.  Catches 5 or 6 balls.
• Washington does not have a quick strike offense.
• Short passing game for Washington.  They’ll cover and lose.
• 23-17 Final score.
• Washington does not score 28 or more.

• Brady will connect on a deep bomb to white boy.  Whats his name?  Scotty Miller.
• I am assuming Evans is OUT for this game. So you have to love Brown then? Or Godwin?
• Looooooooooooooove JD McKissic.  Shocked if he does not catch 7 passes.
• You will want JD on Saturday only on DK.  You may even want him full slate.  PPR play.
• Would not be at all shocked if Washington won, 24-20.
• Which means Washington DST has to score.

Titans

• Corey Davis.
• Tannehill plays well.
• Mark Andrews is a great play.  Hell of a DFS play, he’s gonna catch some balls.
• Corey Davis, Mark Andrews and Henry will have 92 yards and a touchdown.
• Tannehill will have two scores.
• Davis 8-108-1.
• Mark Andrews 75 recv yards and a touchdown.

• This is the game to invest in.
• Ravens wind up winning, which definitely brings Lamar Jackson into play.
• Ravens defense scores, might be on special teams though.
• I think Tannehill is a great play because this is going to be similar to their game with the Browns earlier this year where they are getting thumped and he has to throw a ton the second half to catch up.  One of those scenarios where they’re in 2nd and 8, 3rd and 7 all game long and you look up at the end of the day thinking Tannehill sucked but he wound up throwing the ball 50 times, completing 28 passes for 352 yards and you say, wtf, how did he throw for 352 and account for 3 touchdowns?
• Corey Davis scores a touchdown.
• AJ Brown scores a touchdown
• Either Tannehill rushes one in or he throws one to the backup RB

Saints

• Dom says this is the worst game of the weekend.
• Dont like anything about this game.
• Could be dead wrong and watch it be shootout like Bears/Packers few weeks ago.
• Only way Bears have a shot is if David Montgomery scores.
• This is all Alvin Kamara, all Latavius Murray.
• Saints could win this game 23-3

• Should be a lower scoring game.  27-10.
• Michael Thomas lets everyone know he is back.  8 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.
• Lat Murray
• AROB actually does ok but he’s maybe the 7th best WR on the weekend.

Steelers

• This game is the shoot the moon game of the weekend.
• Ben-DJ-JuJu with Landry or Chubb
• Fantasy bananza
• Browns cover
• Team without QB plays well = Baker has a great game

• Big Ben.
• Diontae Johnson
• Eric Ebron
• Pittsburgh Defense
• Pittsburgh wins easily.  Runs it up.  Pittsburgh will go over 30.
