The Dongers Club – June 19th – Main

The evening slate is a thin one in terms of pitching because of some guys that aren’t trusted to go deep into games.  For those on DraftKings, don’t be afraid to take a gamble with SP tonight, meanwhile on FD I would just plug in Walker Buehler and move on.

WEATHER

Cardinals @ Braves – High risk of PPD here with lots of storms in the area all night.

Walker Buehler

Buehler is one of the perceived safer options tonight and Bauer proved me dead wrong last night in regards to the reverse revenge theory simply because Arizona just plain ole stinks.   Roof closed and taking a 20 point night form Buehler might seem like a disappointment, until you notice nobody else really gets above 12 today.

Framber Valdez

The White Sox have long been a great team against LHP but Valdez at home is good enough to really negate that, he’s the 2nd most trustable option today because we do not want to use Lynn on the other side against a good Houston team.

Patrick Sandoval

While Sandoval gives up a ton of bombs this is a lighter slate in terms of pitching options who can go deep and he has been pitching much better of late.  The Tigers rank as one of the worst teams statistically vs LHP, so the strikeout upside can negate a couple HR even if he struggles.

DODGERS

Bad SP and bad bullpen.  Justin Turner is going to go off tonight.

ASTROS

Houston is going to get overlooked IMO as folks think Lance Lynn is an ace.  He is an ace against shitty offenses like the Tigers but against an elite offense who is on fire like Houston we have to attack him.

CARDINALS (RAIN)

I love this game if it plays on both sides as both Waino and Smyly should really struggle, the lean is to go with the low owned and really ice cold Cardinals for a few one offs.  O’Neill, Dejong, Goldy, Molina.
