WEATHER & STUFF
Lots of weather to keep an eye on tonight but most of it looks clear to play the games out. Although we’ve seen some rough PPD the past few days and they all have been within divisional games, so bare that in mind. Teams are tired and don’t mind punting a game to a later date right now.
Padres @ Reds – Biggest weather concerns, but I suspect they wait it out.

Outside of a hot Joey Gallo, nobody on Texas is hitting too much right now and CB has a 26% strikeout rate while holding all hitters under xWOBA of .300 on the season.
Shohei Ohtani
The magic of Ohtani now PITCHING in Yankee Stadium is going to be something to behold this evening and the Yankees against RH in general are weaker but they haven’t seen a talented righty like Shohei in a while now, so I would expect him to mow them down with ease.
Aaron Nola
When a series plays out exactly opposite in game one it can be very difficult to then navigate to the next night when you want to go right back or then go opposite of your instincts thinking that maybe you just have it read wrong. But as the old saying goes, a streak in baseball is as much as the next day’s starting pitcher and with Aaron Nola at home today he’s most certainly someone that is the obvious top choice after Vinnie Velasquez went all nuts on the Marlins last night, right? …. Right??????? Well, decide which side of the fence you are on. Do you trust Nola coming off an incredible record tying performance in Citi Field when he struck out 10 in a row last week against a Marlins lineup that should struggle against top end pitching? Or do you go back to a team in a ballpark that plays small for them at extremely high leverage and low ownership tonight? Nola will finish with 7+ strikeouts. He will not finish with 0 ER. He is my #3 and not on my main lineup tonight.

Grisham is a lock for me today under $5,000 on DK if this game is a go. Typically Cincinnati has been really known for playing well to hitting after storms and a rain delay and this is a great park shift as well.
Toronto Blue Jays

Between the Jays and Astros as high chalk teams I lean heavily on Toronto. Have fun using Houston at home with the roof likely closed while they have been snoring of late and I’ll take Toronto against a struggling Justus Sheffield. He’s been hit hard by RH bats and yeah, thats the Jays entire lineup. Teoscar has an .729 xSLG against his pitchtype splits this season.
