Happy Sunday!
10 games early, some rain here and there but nothing too serious and then a decent afternoon Sunday tilt slate as well. August is officially kicking things off with some fireworks today as we welcome Kyle Gibson into his new uniform for the Phillies, Jose Berrios makes his Toronto debut against a familiar foe, Reynaldo Sunday Lopez is BACK and the slate concludes with Marco Gonzales vs Michael Foltynewicz! Hot damn.
WEATHER
All games should play, although Cubs/Nats could see some rain mid game.
Roof closed in Texas, Toronto and Miami.

Jordan Montgomery
The Marlins are dead, thanks for coming. Jordan Montgomery has really turned into one of the more steady Yankee pitchers and he finally gets a positive opponent after two really good starts vs Boston and Tampa. Miami’s offense lacks much punch right now so he should be able to navigate around Jesus Aguilar as the main threat.
Adam Wainwright
Someone like Waino is not likely to start to break down with a long season because of his pitching style. Thus has been the case with three decent performances in a row and opponents have a lower SLG% and ISO against him in St. Louis, not to mention his walk rate is considerably lower there as well.
Sandy Alcantara
How does one meet their new co-workers while on a road trip? Well, you go to a happy hour on a Saturday night for sure and thus we declare this a valid South Beach Theory day with a visiting interleague game in Miami.
Marco Gonzales
Roof closed really helps and the soft tossing, ground ball inducing Marco G against a weak lineup.

Atlanta
Today’s Braves Lineup against Brett Anderson: Ozzie, Soler, Freddie, Riley, Swanson, Duvall, Heredia, Kevan Smith …
Chicago White Sox
Jose Abreu, Tim Anderson, Cesar Hernandez, Yoan Moncada
We can now confidently play Jose Abreu and make up for all those misses over the past month or so. Abreu is a lifetime .290 hitter with a .514 SLG%. In August he loves the heat hitting .335 with a .595 SLG, by far his best month historically and this isn’t a one year type deal. Abreu took a shot off the head on Friday night and still played last night going 1-4. He has not homered since July 20th, which will most certainly end today. White Sox season is here.
NY Mets
Conforto, Nimmo, McNeil, Baez
My final team today came down to the Mets or the Tigers and the Mets just pop off too much against Vladimir Gutierrez on paper to not like them. With Javy Baez in the lineup the spark has been waiting and he homered last night so expect a big blow up game from New York coming very soon. Today seems to be a great spot as Vlad is allowing extremely hard contact to lefties, which is of course the core of the Mets lineup.
Other good targets
Toronto … Bichette/Grichuk
Detroit … Baddoo

CATCHER
- Kevan Smith … $2,000 and not known for his bat by any stretch but when the model has him ahead of JT Realmuto my interest gets peaked.
- Pedro Severino
- Jacob Stallings
FIRST BASE
- Jose Abreu
- Freddie Freeman
- Pete Alonso
SECOND BASE
Best this position has looked all season. Ozzie leading off is the chalk for sure, McNeil is a must if you have 4-5 Mets and Cesar Hernandez is the same for the ChiSox stacks. Ozzie is on my main lineup though.
- Ozzie Albies
- Jeff McNeil
- Cesar Hernandez
THIRD BASE
We missed the damn Maikel Franco homer in Detroit and it bothers me. None the less, this position belongs to three guys lately, Riley, Moncada and Kyle double dong Seager.
- Kyle Seager … The DD game is coming and Folty on the hill makes it a logical spot to happen.
- Yoan Moncada
- Austin Riley
SHORTSTOP
- Bo Bichette
- Willy Adames
