A rather quiet Monday evening around Major League Baseball and this follows what wound up being a very quiet Sunday afternoon offensively yesterday. Talk about just going through the motions around the league, right?
WEATHER
No concerns this evening.
LANCE LYNN
Lynn has always been good vs righties and should really mow through a Blue Jays lineup which couldn’t get much going against the Tigers this weekend and has kinda remained cold for a while now. There’s no reason why he shouldn’t be heavily owned tonight but early indications are he won’t be as high as you would think.
MARCO GONZALES
A little diversification on a short 6 game slate is mandatory, and while guys like Ynoa and Manoah might offer a little better strikeout upside, the ballpark for Marco G isn’t that bad and should present far less danger than the other younger arms have.
ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS
Happy joy-joy, we get to stack the D’Backs and Pirates game! Yaaaay. This is a night where if we had 15 games instead I would likely not be touching any of the six which are included on the offering table for us. So that’s how we end up with Arizona at the top of the list in big PNC park! Wil Crowe is more like Wil No, he can’t get hitters out allowing .298 xAVG to righties and a favorable .196 ISO to lefties as well, he is in a park which plays well for LHB and will have to find a way to get out Rojas-Marte-Cabrera most likely at the top of the order today. I don’t often recommend the Diamondbacks, but when I do, it’s a full 4 man stack night.
CHICAGO WHITE SOX
Why oh why do I love Yoan Moncada, I don’t fully know. But He had a good series in Tampa and Chicago should be able to give Manoah fits. Both Moncada and Eloy are good low ball hitters, so I expect them to have a very good chance to drive one out of the Skydome tonight.
