One way or another we should all need a new change of clothes after this College Football slate and that could be a fantastic thing or it could totally suck. But honestly I think it’s gonna be a great slate of games today for the viewer, but maybe not as much for us DFS players. I’m gonna break the games down into tiers for you to hopefully explain what I mean a little better.
One sided “Get Right” games
- Nebraska vs Oklahoma
- Georgia Tech vs Clemson
- Tulsa vs Ohio State
Oh, these could be interesting games …
- USC vs Washington State
- Cincinnati vs Indiana
- Michigan State vs Miami (FL)
- Florida State vs Wake Forest

- Virginia Tech vs WVU
Just not gonna happen, or … is it?
- Minnesota vs Colorado
- Purdue vs Notre Dame

One of the biggest mistakes that I try to avoid in providing content is resisting the urge to force something when it is not there. This is the spot in the article where I generally give out advice on which game stacks to focus on in College Football and that is the play generally about 70-90% of the time and it’s what you will always hear is recommended to win a MME tournament.
Guess what. I’m going to help you win more consistently than someone giving MME recommendations and we’re going to take down the 10 to 20x tournaments and today the advice is that we’re just not game stacking.
Why? Because it’s not there.
The grocery store just doesn’t have the full fixins for us. This doesn’t mean that we don’t have a nice package of sausage and sure there’s some rice out there as well and we’ve of course got our favorite beverages. But the quality on the peppers might not be right, the shrimp just isn’t jumbo enough and we’re running a little light on the seasoning to fix up a full game stack today. So lets just take our individual meal stacks and move on with them, because that is how I see this slate being won.
Oklahoma Sooners
The Sooners should throttle the Cornhuskers today, and I start with this one because it’s probably 1a among the games that could wind up with justifiable plays on both sides, unless the Huskers do get off the bus and immediately turn around upon seeing half naked girls from Oklahoma. The Sooners offense runs entirely through Rattler and this is a showcase game being the high noon game of the day on Fox, so I expect him to be on full display and account for 4-5 touchdowns making him someone we just go ahead and plug in. It’s a 2 QB week.
After that, one of his WR certainly makes sense here and Haselwood has been someone who’s talent I have been a fan of and I can see him or Mario Williams being nice cheap 2nd pieces to the Oklahoma build — or even run with both.

Clemson Tigers
Everyone thought that new Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei would just come in and hit the ground running since he had some playing time filling in for Trevor Lawrence a season ago and this is after all Clemson. Well, not so fast my friends, it has been a blah start for DJ, but that should change with multiple connections to Justyn Ross. Clemson will score 4-5 touchdowns today and although the model is down on DJU, I would not resist doing a Clemson stack with him and Ross as the core.

Ohio State Buckeyes
Tulsa’s giving up nearly 70% completion percentage so far this year, and with Ohio State coming off a home loss a week ago they’ll use this to get things right and to get the stats that I thought they would get last week. The only reason this stack is lower is because of the pricing, but essentially if you are an NFL DFS player consider this the Mahomes-Kelce-Kittle type stack in terms of how much it costs and how much it will wind up producing.
- Ohio State: CJ Stroud, Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson
Spencer Rattler (Oklahoma)
Nebraska is going to funnel things on the ground for Rattler in the red zone, so he has two rushing TD upside even though he has relied on his arm a good deal so far. It just seems when Oklahoma is down inside the 5 his chances to score go up even more and with him being off to a great Heisman start I totally see him dominating here. This is the High Noon Fox game of the day — so expect Lincoln Reilly to get his QB on full display early and often.
D’Eriq King (The U)
A Heisman hopeful for $7,600 at home against a mediocre defense? Not sure how King doesn’t smash his value today. We will need either King or Cam’Ron Harris in lineups as both are fairly cheap and should dominate their rushing usage not only between the 20’s but certainly in prime red zone situations.
Kedon Slovis (USC)
Nothing says fixing your team like firing the coach right before you face a bad pass defense when your strength is in the passing game. What Slovis doesn’t bring that the other two bring here is the expectation to do additional damage on the ground (or rushing TD), but he’ll throw for 3 TD today.
Very bleak slate at Running Back in terms of depth options. The chalk play today is going to be CamRon Harris who will see a slight usage bump due to player availability and is fairly cheap, but that’s a game I prefer D’Eriq King in greatly and there are two RB who I believe will out perform him 2 to 1 today, so I’ll pay for them.
Leddie Brown (WV)
Country Roads. Take me home. To the place. I belong. Leddie Brown. Mountain Momma. Take me hoooome. Leddie Browwwwn. Easily the number one play today at Running Back. VT can be beat on the ground & Brown being sub 7k at home where he’ll see over 20 touches, rush for 100 yards and the bonus and probably score twice is my safe plug and go. He is going to be a stud for us in DFS all season long because he is just too good and behind a good OL.
Christian Beal-Smith (Wake)
Florida State’s rush defense can be beat today, and that’s the main path for Wake Forest and why I am not forcing a game stack here. This game if it were about a month later would have 48-45 potential, but it should be more of a ground affair.

- Noah Cain (Penn State)
This is a very deep WR slate, so you will want four WR in your lineup instead of 3 RB.
Drake London – USC
USC is going to rely upon their QB and passing game to make the interim coach feel good about taking over things. Facing WAZU is a perfect spot for them. I prefer to take the better receivers when teams are on the road and given the coaching change I would be shocked if London doesn’t wind up with a 150 yard receiving day here.
Keylon Stokes – Tulsa
For just $4,100 we’re asking for 4 catches and 60 yards? He’s your best value play out there today given the game-flow presented with Tulsa being behind and trying to still play fast. The Ohio State pass defense is going to play better but Stokes should see enough targets in my mind to garner our attention as the primary value play on this slate.
Jaquarri Roberson – Wake Forest
I love me some Jaq Roberson, but I see this game going on the ground which is why he isn’t #1 overall. He is not in play at $8,500 on FanDuel with so many alternative choices there but the Florida State pass defense gives up high catch rates, so Roberson is in line to have a 7-90 game for sure.
Garrett Wilson – Ohio State
It is always tough to peg which Ohio State WR is going to catch the 2nd touchdown, but we just simply flow with how the pricing of the rest of the plays in your lineup dictate things. Olave is $8,100 and Wilson is $6,400 so once again we’re going to see Wilson get 2 to 1 ownership here and I don’t hate it one bit. He has seen 25 targets so far through two games and as long as he is in the ballpark of Olave we gotta just take the savings and move on.
Justyn Ross – Clemson
Ross came into the season off a spinal injury and one could argue he has been eased into things. I believe that seal gets pulled back even more today and he should have his way all game long. For my money if you are expecting Clemson to drop a 40 burger today you would be a fool to not buy into Ross.
