This is just a hogwash of a set of MLB games today. There’s a 5 game early slate on DraftKings and I don’t know what the morons at FanDuel have done but they basically have no slate today worth touching.
Included in the five games early for DraftKings is the Rockies vs Braves game (Which played thank you very much last night) but virtually has NO shot of playing today due to rain. The Rockies are in Washington tomorrow and the Braves are out in San Francisco so I cannot see them being willing to hang around too long to play this one — although the Braves do have to get the game in for playoff purposes. Should be curious to see how they handle it. You don’t want hitters in the game though.
Reds vs Pirates
Tyler Mahle and the Reds are in Pittsburgh again and finally on the slate as they take on Connor Bet the Overton and the Pirates. So when I look at this game, I simply ask myself what do I want to do with my life? And the answer here is clearly. Max I wanna Schrock!

Angels vs White Sox
Clearly Alex Cobb has not reached the Mike Trout level of how to vacation in September as he returns to the mound today for Anaheim for the first time since July 23rd. At some point in this article we will have to find another pitcher besides Mahle to consider and hopefully a third pitcher to also not have to force Tyler Mahle in a day game down our throats. No, this isn’t that spot, however you won’t be using Jose Abreu given how Cobb likes to pitch — so this comes down to Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez are our primary options from the ChiSox today.
ReyLo and Day games go together like J-Lo and Ben and thus that concludes my relevance to pop culture. Lopez hasn’t pitched since Sept 9th, so I am not exactly rushing to load him up here either.
Athletics vs Royals
I do believe that last nights under on this game somehow didn’t work out — ya think? Holy cow, just play Salvador Perez and move right along. It’s warm and wind blowing out in Kauffman Stadium this afternoon which will make this one of the favorable hitting spots for sure today. Daniel Lynch should be able to strike out Staring Marte, but he won’t have that same luck with Josh Harrison, Matt Chapman and Yan Gomes. For Kansas City, I Smell a nice Ryan O’Hearn solo shot into the fountains.
Padres vs Giants
Kevin Gausman is back in a rythym right now and with the Padres using a bullpen game today he should get some early run support off whowever the Pads roll out to start giving him the win upside here too. Lock him in as our SP1 and get different pivoting off Mahle is the route I feel like taking early. Sadly though there aren’t any other SP2 choices as this concludes the early games.

LATE SLATE
There will be no article for the main slate tonight but happy Adonis Medina day for the Phillies. The Tigers/Rays game will have all the offense tonight.
