Max Scherzer
Great bounce back spot for Max against the Padres after a less than Max like start in Coors Field last week. You can make a case that Nathan Eovaldi is also in a good bounce back spot against Baltimore, but I see no path where Max isn’t finishing tonight with 7 innings and 8 strikeouts with less than 2 ER allowed. San Diego is already on vacation in Cancun or somewhere exotic… Like, San Diego….
Adrian Houser
The Cardinals are not going to hit tonight. They are in the playoffs after a wild ride and are no doubt going to just check out tonight and let Houser pitch 7 innings of almost no hit ball – or so thats how I see this playing out. Attacking teams after they clinch has long been a good move and I would jump right here tonight for SP2 value on DK.
Max Fried
Everyone makes fun of Nola for sucking in big games and this is a big game between him and my guy Mr. Fried. Fried is pitching very well and has been great at home all season long. This is a spot where Atlanta can close the door on the Phillies and Fried is a good enough pitcher to slam that door + he should get run support against Nola.
