Overview

After the Truck race concludes the Xfinity drivers will be waiting in the wings on Saturday afternoon as they continue on in the playoffs. Talladega Superspeedway is the scene, a 2.66-mile asphalt superspeedway with high-banked turns. This will be the second time for the Xfinity cars at ‘Dega this season. The first race resulted in 22 lead changes and four cautions in what was a relatively clean race, especially for Talladega standards. This time they’ll go 113 laps and with the intensity as high as it’s been all season I would expect some chaos this go around.

Top Drivers

Alex Labbe ($7,500)

DK did not do a good job pricing the drivers up that are starting toward the back. Labbe comes in with an average finish of 23rd on the season and he finished 21st in the first ‘Dega race. Outside of last weeks trouble (38th-place finish), Labbe has three straight top-20’s and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him end up in a similar spot when this race is complete.

Landon Cassill ($5,400)

Driving the 4 car as he has most of the season Cassill is coming off a 16th place finish at Las Vegas last week. Starting 21st Cassill is a great value play as someone here will hardly ever not be able to finish a race.

J.J. Yeley ($8,100)

It’s risky with Yeley driving the 99 car for B.J. McLeod consider how temperamental that equipment can be. With Yeley starting 37th for a reasonable price tag the only blemish is that aforementioned equipment. Typically I would be all over Yeley in this situation but in this case, I’ll be treading lightly.

Jeb Burton ($10,600)

Burton won here early in the season and will be looking to do so again from the 14th-position. The Kaulig cars have been tremendous on the superspeedway’s as evidenced by Burton’s fourth-place finish at Daytona, win at ‘Dega, and overall performance from his teammates A.J. Allmendinger and Justin Haley on superspeedway’s.

Jeffrey Earnhardt ($5,900)

Earnhardt is a bargain-basement play starting back at 31st. Earlier this season he finished 22nd at ‘Dega and has done a solid job all year finishing races and keeping the car clean.
