Key Skaters
W David Pastrnak (BOS)
With six shots on goal over his last two games, Pastrnak is not seventh in shots per 60 at 5v5 and the Oilers allow 34.4 shots on goal per game, third-most in the league. Pasta also has the fourth-best Corsi for rate of any skater with at least 70 minutes of ice time at 5v5. Even though he only has three goals to this point, things are looking up for the star winger based on the aforementioned Corsi metric.
W Vladimir Tarasenko (STL)
Tarasenko is in the top 10 in Corsi, shots per 60, and scoring chances per 60 at 5v5 but is cold of late with no points in any of his last three games. Nashville has some holes defensively and with the Blues returning home after a four-game road trip, some home cooking is going to be welcomed for Tarasenko and the Blues.
C Anze Kopitar (LAK)
The Kings travel to Ottawa to battle the Senators who are allowing the most shots per 60 at 5v5 and seventh-most scoring chances per 60 at 5v5. After a hot start, Kopitar has just two points in his last four games but has four shots in three of his last four games and has hit the blocked-shot bonus twice over that span. Kopitar is involved in every situation and finds himself generating fantasy points in a multitude of ways.

Calgary Flames
Elias Lindholm, Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk, Rasmus Andersson
Montreal has been brutal with a 2-5-1 record at home and a 3-10-1 record overall. They’re allowing 3.43 goals per game (28th), have a 68.6 percent penalty kill rate (29th), and average 9.3 penalty minutes per game (18th). Calgary can be considered the opposite as they’re 5-1-0 on the road and have one of the better lines right now in hockey. The top trio of Lindholm, Gaudreau, and Tkachuk have the highest expected goal for rate per 60 of any forward line (with at least 100 minutes of ice time together) at 3.1. All three are also featured on the top power-play unit which Calgary has the 10th-best success rate where they’re joined by Andersson on defense.
Washington Capitals
Evgeny Kuznetsov, Alex Ovechkin, Tom Wilson
The Red Wings come into this matchup allowing 3.29 goals per game while the Capitals average the fifth-most goals per game (3.50). Detroit has been running hot with three straight wins and the Capitals have just been playing so-so of late. This feels like a spot where Washington walks into Detroit and trounces the Red Wings.
Los Angeles Kings
Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown, Adrian Kempe, Kale Clague
There’s full powerplay correlation with all four skaters here and Kopitar, Brown, and Kempe skate together on the top even-strength line. The Kings should be able to exploit the Senators’ porous defense outside of Kopitar all can be considered value plays.
