W Artemi Panarin (NYR)

The scoring production for Panarin continues to be modest with multiple points in just three games thus far but he has made his way onto the scoresheet in five of his last six. Columbus, playing in their second game in as many nights has the third-highest expected goal rate per 60 at 5v5 and allow the fifth-most scoring chances per 60 at 5v5.

W Vladimir Tarasenko (STL)

Tarasenko broke his point-less draught with a goal his last time out against the Predators. Carolina currently has the 12th-highest expected goals against rate per 60 at 5v5 while Tarasenko averages the seventh-most scoring chances per 60 at 5v5. For a player that has seemingly regained his form from a couple of years ago as one of the better goal scorers in the game, his salary is just to low for his upside.

W Mikko Rantanen (COL)

Coming off a three-point game, Rantanen will look to continue filling the score sheet in the absence of Center Nathan MacKinnon and with Colorado hosting the Sharks I like his chances. Rantanen has points in seven of 10 games played this season and has hit the shot bonus on three occasions.

• One of the more productive even strength lines in the league with a 3.99 expected goals scored rate per 60 minutes. Matthews, Nylander, and Rielly also correlate on the top power-play.

New York Rangers

Mika Zibanajad, Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider, Adam Fox

• Full power-play correlation here, the top scoring option on the second even strength line (Panarin), and Fox on defense – part of that top power-play unit on the blue line – who has points in five of his last six and a total of eight points over that span hitting the shot bonus once and the blocked shot bonus three times.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Jeff Carter, Bryan Rust, Jake Guentzel, Kasperi Kapanen

• Four of the five components on the top power-play unit and the top even strength line. Ottawa is brutal defensively and I don’t see Pittsburgh having trouble with them on the road.
