C Logan Couture (SJ)

• When I saw Couture’s price I couldn’t believe it. He’s just $4,600 against one of, if not the worst defensive team in the league who basically funnel fantasy points to opposing centers. In 17 games Couture has six goals and eight assists averaging over 18 minutes of ice time.

W Vladimir Tarasenko (STL)

• Tarasenko broke a three-game pointless streak his last time out with two assists against Vegas. Over his last five games, Vlad has hit the shot bonus four times proving that on DK even if he isn’t scoring he proving to be a valuable fantasy commodity, especially while he continues to be priced under 7K.

C Auston Matthews (TOR)

• Matthews continues to get pucks to the net but has had two straight games without a point but has hit the shot bonus both times. Prior to that Matthews had points in five straight games (two goals, three assists) and will get his chances against this Kings team allowing the eighth-most scoring chances per 60 at 5v5.

Favorite Line Stacks

San Jose Sharks

Logan Couture, Timo Meier, Rudolfs Balcers, Brent Burns

• For the season the Senators are allowing the most shots per 60, sixth-most scoring chances per 60, and have the 10th-highest expected goals against rate per 60 at 5v5. Defensively they’ve been just downright awful. The Sharks come in with a ton of value having Couture ($4,600) and Balcers ($3,000) severely underpriced while both spend time on the first line and top power-play unit. Meier also skates on the first line and top power-play unit as does Brent Burns giving us maximum correlation with the Sharks.

Florida Panthers

Sam Bennett, Jonathan Huberdeau, Anthony Duclair, Sam Reinhart

• It’s somewhat surprising how poor the Flyers have been defensively this season but they have the highest expected goals against rate per 60 against at 5v5. Conversely, the Panthers sport the third-highest expected goals for rate per 60 at 5v5. They’ll be without their captain Aleksander Barkov but have skaters in place that have been skating well in Bennett, Huberdeau, and Duclair on the first line and Reinhart on the second line and top power-play unit. All four skaters here correlate on the top unit for the man advantage.

St. Louis Blues

Ryan O’Reilly, Vladimir Tarasenko, David Perron, Torey Krug

• ROR and Perron skate on the first line while Tarasenko slides in on the second line and Krug on the top defensive pairing. All four skaters find their way onto the top power-play unit, a unit that has been second-best in the league to this point and will be facing the league’s 21st-ranked penalty kill. At 5v5 Detroit hasn’t been much better either surrendering fourth-most scoring chances per 60 and the second-most high-danger scoring chances per 60 at 5v5.
