Key Skaters
C Mark Scheifele (WPG)

On Friday in a tremendous matchup, Scheifele is priced at just $5,400 against the Blackhawks which is absolutely preposterous. He’s the 12th-highest priced center on the slate and there are just five games to shuffle through. While he has just played three games thus far, Scheifele has seen 19, 25, and 21 minutes in those three appearances and has recorded three assists in his last two games. The Blackhawks have been susceptible defensively, especially to centers and tonight will be no different. I’ll eat this expected chalk all day.
C Connor McDavid (EDM)
As I’ve said many a time, just because it’s obvious, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. With McDavid priced at $9,400 I’m still locking him in as will most everyone else. There is a ton of value available making it fairly easy to roster him, just as we were able to roster him along with MacKinnon the other night. The Rangers offer little resistance up the middle and McDavid has 19 points (seven goals) in nine games.
Favorite Line Stacks
Winnipeg Jets
Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Nate Schmidt
- There’s full correlation on the power-play attached to these four Jets and they are all incredibly affordable. Scheifele and Wheeler skate together at even strength as well and have great chemistry as common linemates over a number of years. Winnipeg’s power-play has been strong and the Blackhawks, despite having a solid penalty kill are susceptible because of the number of penalties they take averaging over nine shorthanded minutes per game.
Anaheim Ducks
Ryan Getzlaf, Troy Terry, Adam Henrique, Jamie Drysdale
- This is a matchup of two bad teams with the Ducks taking on the Coyotes except the Coyotes are god awful. Arizona is allowing 10.54 high-danger scoring chances per 60 at 5v5 which on the surface isn’t terrible but because they are getting such terrible goaltending they’re allowing the most goals per game (4.1) of any team. All of these Ducks are affordable making them a nice value stack. Getzlaf, Terry, and Henrique are all positioned on the first even-strength line with Getzlaf and Terry joining defenseman Jamie Drysdale on the top power-play unit.
Also consider:
Vancouver Canucks: Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser, Oliver Ekman-Larsson
