The trend for Bowl season continues as you should watch the first two drives and notice which team actually gives two shits about the game… But alas, we are in the business of trying to make picks before hand so I’ll keep doing that as well. Classic example for this was the Miss St / Texas Tech game, which clearly was Texas Tech after the first quarter.
CheezIt Bowl – Clemson vs Iowa State
I woke up feeling the cheeziest coach!
Good for Brock Purdy staying around to play in this Bowl game since he knows this is the end of the highlight of his life before he moves on to whatever career path he is doing next. It would be glorious for him to go out and light up Clemson, but sadly I don’t see it happening too much — but I do like a touchdown to Xavier Hutchinson.
Will Shipley should be the feature back next year for Clemson and this is his time to shine in a Bowl game. I like him and Beaux Collins to have big games and yes … I am picking Clemson.

Pinstripes Bowl – Maryland vs Virginia Tech
This is a rivalry among people who live in the DC area, and literally nobody else. But the game should have a gazillion points in it if things go as expected. Can baby Tua shred the VT defense? Absolutely. I wouldn’t be shocked if he ran a touchdown in here as well and has to be paired with either Brian Cobbs (SR) or his top WR Rakim Jarrett.
The Hokies should have their way with whatever they do on offense, but the majority of it will come from Connor Blumrick and Raheem Blackshear. I don’t suspect they stray from splitting Blackshear with Malachi Thomas so Blumrick could be the naked play.

Alamo Bowl – Oregon vs Oklahoma
This is the most fascinating game today. It should go under, but Anthony Brown most certainly can steal the show in my mind. Two teams with new coaches coming in and questions all over the place should lead to the offense running through the Quarterbacks – however I trust Anthony Brown way more than I trust Caleb Williams.
If you play Caleb, you have to play Brown, it is that simple. Oklahoma should run the ball well, so Kennedy Brooks and Eric Gray make some sense here. All in all, I prefer the Terps/Hokies game over this one but there is definitely juice here.

SuperFlex on this slate should no doubt be a Quarterback. If you were doing 100 lineups, all 100 should have 2 QB in them. We likely will see 3 Quarterbacks finish in the top 3 scoring on the slate.
Baby Tua – Maryland
We will need Baby Tua to rush one in, and he should have a decent game using his legs vs a bad rush defense. It comes down to who vultures more Fleet-Davis and the MD RB or the Oregon RB vulturing Anthony Brown.
Anthony Brown – Oregon
Brown has the most likely path to dominating the slate, however deciding who is number one and who is number two overall is flipping a coin. I went with Baby Tua slightly ahead of him but I am going to be using both on my main lineup.
Connor Blumrick – VT
The Hokies are turning to Blumrick who will run, run, run. I just see Maryland running away with this game as the Hokies don’t have a ton of players hanging around for the bowl game.
Caleb Williams – Oklahoma
As I mentioned above, Caleb Williams should be correlated with Anthony Brown or not touched at all.

Looking at the two teams without a QB on my list is a logical spot to start for Running Back, so Will Shipley locks in as a CORE play but I do not trust Breece Hall’s replacement Jirehl Brock against a good Clemson rush defense. He’ll be chalky and is an okay fade.
Maryland will score 2 rushing touchdowns today. It is just a matter of will it be Taulia or Fleet-Davis doing the damage.

Not the prettiest of WR slates, so since I love an X Hutchinson touchdown he should be strongly considered. Rakim Jarrett is likely in the “best spot” and your chalk WR to just eat.
