NBA DROPPIN DIMES-Monday, December 13th

Tonight brings a 9 game slate starting at 7p.m. ET.

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with a few additional plays and a few value plays. You won’t always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. Players listed first at each position are my favorite and a good start to build a lineup around.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Keep an eye on the injury status of players as they can be ruled out right before lock.

Game/s to Target

Buck/Celtics– High total, decent pace and close spread.

Raptors/Kings

CORE

Jalen Brunson(PG), Dallas Mavericks ($5800)

Brunson has played well this year averaging 14.4 points, 4 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He has played even better with Doncic off the floor averaging 20 points and over 6 rebounds and assists. The Mavericks get a pace up spot (plus 6 possessions- highest on the slate)against the worst defensive teams in the league the Hornets. This gives him a nice boost and increases his upside. No secret here and Brunson will be a popular play for good reason.

Terrance Mann(PG/SF), L A Clippers ($4400)

Paul George will be out again and this will give Mann a boost in minutes and usage. Playing 30 plus minutes over the last two games returning 26 and 33.8 FPs respectively in those games. He comes in with point guard and small forward eligibility and gets a nice boost in pace tonight. What I like about Mann is he is not dependent on scoring alone. He has the ability to get rebounds pulling down 10 and 9 over the past 2 games. The sub 5K price gives him a good shot to exceed value and come in at 6-8 times value.

[spacer height=”20px”]

Armoni Brooks(PG/SG), Houston Rockets ($4800)

Brooks has filled in well for Porter and Green over the past 3 games averaging over 30 FPs per game. In this timeframe, Brooks is averaging 17.5 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. An elite plus 8% usage with Green and Porter off the floor. The price has not caught up to his recent play and tonight is another good night to target him. The Rockets play against the 5th worst defensive team in the Hawks. This game should also be fast paced which will help with upside along with the defensive matchup.

Dimes Play(GPP Play of the Night) Under 5k Player with low ownership and upside

Xavier Tillman– Steven Adams is doubtful and Jarren Jackson Jr. is questionable. Tillman should get the start with Adams most likely sitting. He played 23 minutes last game and put up 21.5 FPS (6 times return). He should see more minutes if Adams sits(looks like he will, but keep an eye on his status) and this would increase his upside. Nice value at only 3.4K.

Double Dimes Play

Brandon Boston Jr.-Played over 20 minutes over the past 3 games with George out. He hit value in 2 of those 3 games with 1 at well over 10 times. The kid has the ability to score while picking up a few additional stats. Should see at least 20 minutes with the potential to get 25-30 if this game gets out of hand. Either way, he is minimum price and has an excellent chance to hit value with potential for 8-10 times return.
