NBA DFS DROPPIN DIMES-Wednesday, MARCH 23rd

Looking at an 11-game slate starting at 7:00pm

The “Droppin Dimes,” article will go over my favorite plays for the slate. It will consist of three to five core plays  along with some additional plays and some value plays. You will not always see the highest-priced players or the most obvious plays. The article will be the building blocks to help construct lineup/s.

(Note: All pricing and fantasy points are based on DraftKings but can be used for all sites.)

Always keep an eye on the status of players before lock, especially now. There are still a decent number of players with questionable tags.

NOTES

I will post any updates in Discord prior to lock.

CORE

Damian Jones, SACRAMENTO KINGS ($3700)

The Kings are down their starting center Domantas Sabonis. Jones was the one who came in for Sabonis when he went out with the injury. Playing 22 minutes and putting up 13 points and 7 rebounds against a tough Suns defense. Averaging 1.1 FPPM on the year and he should see around 25-30 minutes tonight against the Indiana Pacers who are allowing the 5th most FPs over the past week. Jones is in a good spot tonight to hit value and deliver 7-8 times value. I have him projected for 26.7 FPS (7.4x).

[spacer height=”20px”]

Spencer Dinwiddie, DALLAS MAVERICKS ($6400)
The Mavericks will be without their start Luka Doncic tonight and this opens up close to 40 minutes and close to 40% usage. Dinwiddie has the most usage with Doncic off the court at 33% and he should see a slight bump in minutes as well.  He has also played well as of late hitting 32 or more FPs in six straight games. This is an elite matchup for the Mavericks as the play against the Rockets who run at a much faster pace and have allowed the 3rd most FPs to opposing teams over the last week and have been pretty bad defensively most of the year.  Coming in as the third highest ranked played or both the Daily Ambush and FantasyBum model.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Tyus Jones,  MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES ($4600)
Jones has hit 20 or more FPs just about everytime he sees 20 plus minutes and a few times when he played in the teens. He should get the start tonight with Ja Morant out and play around 30 plus minutes in an elite matchup against the Nets who have allowed the 2nd most FPs to opposing point guards. A FPPM player on the season who is projected to see 30 +/- minutes tonight which would give him right around 30 FPs with a ceiling of just shy of 40 FP.
[spacer height=”20px”]
Obi Toppin, NEW YORK KNICKS ($3400)
It looks like Julius Randle is going to sit again tonight and this opens up a starting spot. Yesterday, Toppin picked up that start and played 24 minutes and delivered 24 FPs. He should pick up the start again tonight and play similar minutes in an excellent matchup against the Hornets. The Hornets run at a much faster pace and rank in the bottom 10 in FPs allowed over the past two weeks. Toppin is in line for another solid night and is an excellent value at his current price.

Dimes Play

Mason Moody or Gary Payton II (who ever starts for the Warriors)- They are down most of their starters and one if not both of these players should have a good game.
