As usual on Saturday, FanDuel has chopped up their slates to mirror that of a little league schedule at your local ballparks and so we’re just going to completely ignore them for these Early games. There are six total games which cover this afternoon/early slate and they include
- DBags vs Cardinals
- Astrovs vs Jays
- Angels vs White Sox
- Nats vs Giants
- Guardians of the Galaxy vs Athletics
- Twins vs Rays
WEATHER
The Angels vs White Sox game should have showers moving in after first pitch but it’s not as cold as it has been of late in Chicago and so I think they will play through the conditions. We’re not using a pitcher in this game either way so I am not overly concerned here.
The D’Backs and the Cardinals game has strong winds out to left field with a good Dew Point as well.

SHANE BIEBER
Today’s installment of “Why is this guy so cheap on DraftKings” puts us on Shane Bieber against Oakland. Last year the Athletics had the biggest boost in actual production from night games to day games at home of any team in the league. But this years team is obviously not the same lineup & Bieber should carve them up for 8-10 strikeouts.
LOGAN WEBB
The umpire last night went and pissed off Juan Soto and now he looks like he might be awake, but after that we have very little concern for Webb outside of facing the Nationals a second time in one week. This time he is at home however and even though Soto or Cruz could connect for a solo HR I don’t see a 3-run bomb or too many crooked number possibilities for the Nationals.
JOSE BERRIOS
There is no easy third option to recommend today, but the one player I would take a longshot on is Jose Berrios, we are approaching the time of year where he usually settles in and has a great feel for his Curveball and the average Exit Velo on all the Astros he has faced is fairly reasonable. I can definitely see Berrios winding up ahead of Webb or Bieber as he should handle Brantley and Yordan very well if he has his stuff on.

Tim Anderson – SS – White SOx
Chicago might be showing signs of life finally and if they are going to touch up Jose Suarez it will start at the top of the lineup with Anderson-Vaughn and Abreu. Anderson has three double digit point games in his last 5 and is known for Ambushing opposing pitching.
Lourdes Gurriel – OF – Blue Jays
The journey today in roster construction will be finding cheaper bats which you will trust. None are in a better spot than Gurriel who is beatting cleanup for Toronto.
Yadier Molina – C – Cardinals
Yadi is having much better At Bat’s at the plate and that’s very common for a veteran catcher to come out quiet and then start to turn it on after a month or so. He has hits in four straight and just 2 strikeouts with even a stolen base in that stretch and yes, he has a double there too so I expect Yadi to have a 2 RBI double here today if not a home run coming soon for the future HOF.

This is the section which is going to be tweaked going forward.
Chicago White Sox
Tim Anderson, Luis Robert, Andrew Vaughn*
We are not quite at buy extremely low territory on the White Sox like the Braves are but everyone after Timmy Anderson is sub 5k, and for this lineups potential that is a pretty good discount. The rain coming in could keep their ownership down but nobody has their upside today in my mind.
*Vaughn is questionable
Toronto Blue Jays
Springer, Bichette, Gurriel
My favorite bet today is the Blue Jays to win, the only question is will it be 2-1 with Berrios throwing a gem or 12-7 with the Blue Jays offense going off. We saw Vladdy get his spot last night and I would focus on Springer & Bichette as the anchor combination with Gurriel, Kirk and Tapia value.
