The High Line – XFINITY Series – A-Game 200 – Dover Motor Speedway – April 30, 2022

Overview

On tap for the NASCAR XFINITY Series this week is the “Monster Mile” of Dover Motor Speedway. Dover is a one-mile concrete track with 24 degrees of banking in each turn. It’s one of the only tracks (along with Bristol) that is concrete all the way around. The XFINITY Series has been racing here since 1982 and the most recent winner at this level is Austin Cindric. The drivers will turn 200 laps totaling the 200 miles making dominator points more worthwhile than last week at Talladega. With qualifying complete we have a clearer picture of which drivers to target heading into raceday!

Most comparable tracks: Darlington Raceway, Bristol Motor Speedway

Top Drivers

Justin Allgaier ($10,300), Starting 7th

In his last five races, Allgaier has a win, an average finish of third, and an average of 60 laps led per race. Starting seventh on Saturday, the driver of the number 7 car could be filled with luck as he looks to make his way into victory lane. In a race where dominator points are important, Allgaier should be considered one of the top potential dominators.

Daniel Hemric ($9,200), Starting 17th

Hemric has started on the pole in two of his last three races here at Dover and has top-10 finishes in each of his last five trips here. In none of those races did Hemric lead many laps but his finishing positions offer a solid floor for the Kaulig Racing driver considering that he’ll start back in 17th.

Ryan Sieg ($8,200), Starting 38th

After having an axle issue in qualifying, Sieg will be the chalk place differential play starting way back at 38th. Sieg has been solid at Dover over his career; nothing flashy but with an average finish of 14.6, he’ll have a solid floor to provide with that deep starting position. Sieg has finished in the top-20 in all 15 XFINITY races at Dover and has seen the checkered flag in a top-14 position in each of his last five runs here.

Jeremy Clements ($6,800), Starting 24th

Clements starts in the 24th position after a 23rd-place finish last week at Talladega. Of late, Dover has a good track for Clements with finishes of 12th, 19th, and 13th in his last three races. For his career Clements has an average finishing position of 20th with two top-10’s sprinkled in.

Also consider:

Noah Gragson ($11,100), Starting 3rd – Potential dominator

Ty Gibbs ($11,400), Starting 5th – Potential dominator

Landon Cassill ($8,000), Starting 18th

Joe Graf, Jr. ($6,000), Starting 32nd

GOOD LUCK!!
