The Dongers Club – May 11th – Early

Either it’s a sign of the apocolypse or my eyes are telling me that we have three slates today with site synchronicity between DraftKings and FanDuel.  An incredible miracle on this Wednesday if I do say so myself.

What’s next, the stock market is going to go up?

Alright so the first set of 4 gamers includes

  • Jays at Yanks
  • Guardians at White Sox

WEATHER

All.  Games.  Play.

[spacer height=”20px”]

Oh, so this is why we should have not registered our contests for this slate.   Ouch.

JOSE BERRIOS

This is partial process of elimination and partial me thinking Berrios will actually have a good strikeout game today.  I am strongly considering a SP game stack with Taillon and hoping for 30 combined fantasy points, which on this slate, looks very strong.

VINCE VELASQUEZ

I don’t always use Vinnie Velasquez, but when I do it’s on an afternoon Wednesday in May.  I really just made that up but do you remember his incredible like 10K performance vs the Padres years ago?  That definitely is NOT what we are getting today yet he is pitching decently for the White Sox and I want no part of Adrian Houser throwing up in Cincinnati, so here we go.

RYAN PEPIOT

Pew-Pew starts for the Dodgers today, making his debut in PNC park against the Pirates.  What kind of lucky man is this?  I don’t expect much here, but I also don’t expect a blow up which makes him definitely viable.

Brewers vs Reds

12-7 final score, likely the Brewers because Vladdy G, because in this decade nobody who has a singular letter at the end of their name does anything positive when it comes to Baseball — especially G.

In all seriousness, 80+ degree temps, small ass ballpark,  load up on this game.

Both sides!

  • MIL:  Rowdy Tellez, Christian Yelich, Kolten Wong
  • CIN:  Brandon Drury, Stephenson, Naquin

Dodgers

The LA Dodgers on an east coast get away game is about as sure of a win + over as they come.  Freeman and Muncy should get overlooked with a lefty starting but they are prime plays.

  • Freddie Freeman
  • Max Muncy
  • Trea Turner

[spacer height=”20px”]

CATCHER

  1. Tyler Stephenson
  2. Will Smith

[spacer height=”20px”]

FIRST BASE

This is worth playing two lineups today.  Tellez is arguably the most “obvious” play on the slate, but Freeman is the gut Chairman call.  I don’t think you go wrong with either.

  1. Freddie Freeman
  2. Rowdy Tellez

[spacer height=”20px”]

SECOND BASE

  1. Brandon Drury
  2. Kolten Wong

[spacer height=”20px”]

THIRD BASE

  1. Yoan Moncada
  2. Jose Ramirez

[spacer height=”20px”]

SHORTSTOP

  1. Trea Turner
  2. Tim Anderson

[spacer height=”20px”]

OUTFIELD – Mt. Rushmore

  1. Tyler Naquin
  2. Luis Robert
  3. Christian Yelich
  4. Hunter Renfroe

[spacer height=”20px”]

OUTFIELD – Value

  1. TJ Friedl
  2. Adam Engel
  3. Tyrone Taylor

[spacer height=”20px”]

  1. Freddie Freeman – 1B – Dodgers – Chairman of The Dongers Club
  2. Tyler Stephenson – C – Reds
  3. Tyler Naquin – OF – Reds
  4. Kolten Wong – 2B – Brewers
  5. Hunter Renfroe – OF – Brewers
