Tonight’s Showdown Strategy
Showdown tot me is a lot like the speech I always give a youth basketball team at the start of the season. The most important thing is that we are here to have fun. The second most important thing is that losing sucks, so lets not lose. Thanks for coming to my pep talk!
There is a lot on the menu in this Chargers vs Chiefs tilt so here are a couple angles that I want to offer on making sure you don’t auto roll into the default without considering alternate outcomes today.
#1. Kickers are valuable on a game where both offenses should generate a lot of possessions, but the Chiefs are down Harrison Butker and my guess is they opt to go for it more than not because of that.
#2. We’re not going to touch the defenses much, however if you did, I would look at the Chargers given their pressure ability and they would correlate okay with Mahomes seeing as if he does throw 2 to 3 INT or has to take sacks that’s just potentially more yards for him.
#3. I expect both teams to utilize their RB in some capacity at enough to warrant using them.
