NFL DFS: Week 4 London Showdown

Game Theory

I actually believe the Saints will have one of their more complete games this week.  They historically have traveled well and play well when they are away from home for an entire week practicing together.  The switch from Jameis Winston to Andy Dalton should actually benefit the struggling offense in the short term as well because they’ll be better on third down and probably get Alvin Kamara going even more.  With Michael Thomas out as well, that only boosts Kamara for showdown too.

Justin Jefferson vs Marshon Lattimore is going to be a heck of a battle on the other side and the plus for New Orleans is that it should keep Lattimore far away from Adam Theilen who he has never had success with.  Plus Theilen is just not the same guy these days so that helps here too.

In the end, I think we have a 26-23 type final score.

CAPTAINS CHOICE

Alvin Kamara … All in on Kamara.  The Saints have elevated Lat Murray to help with the running back depth and Kamara will fill in as a WR more.

CORE PLAYERS

Justin Jefferson … The QB on this slate should not be throwing for 350 or rushing for a ton of yards.  So load up on the stud positional players for each team.

Jarvis Landry … Landry will be Dalton’s go to WR this week, not Olave

Dalvin Cook … The stars on this slate are clear cut.

FLEX PLAYER POOL

KJ Osborn … Should have a 50 yard receiving game.

Juwan Johnson … Johnson should remain the TE 1 for New Orleans although an Adam Trautman screen pass to start the game is something to watch for and if that happens we could see Trautman’s best game of the season (heck, career?)

Wil Lutz … Lutz booting 4 FG feels just right.

Greg Joseph … Like both kickers

Taysom Hill … Taysom is going to have to be QB2 this week with Winston out, that should lesson his TE role which is why I think Trautman gets involved some but I do expect Taysom to be involved in spot situations, especially in the red zone as the QB this week.  He is worth using, but more likely as FLEX than Captain.
