Overview
With the weekend coming to an end the Cup Series drivers take their turn at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where the racing this weekend has been entertaining, to say the least. LVMS is a 1.5-mile asphalt oval that has very similar characteristics to Kansas Motor Speedway. The drivers will turn 267 laps for 400 miles giving us a good amount of dominator points available. Some drivers had trouble during qualifying giving us some very interesting starting positions in this race.
Strategy
In this race, I’ll be looking to go the place differential route in cash games and single entry simply because that’s the safer route to go with so many good drivers qualifying deep in the field. In tournaments, I’ll focus more on guys that I expect to grab the dominator points while peppering in some guys starting more in the middle of the field with low ownership but also the upside to win. There are a number of ways to build for this race.

Dominators
I’m looking to roster two of these guys in each lineup.
Joey Logano ($10,500), Starting on the Pole
The defending winner of this race is Logano who led 33 laps here last year after starting fifth. That victory was Logano’s third at LVMS and at the Cup level Logano has an average finish of eighth at Vegas. The defending series champion should be a trendy play in DFS.
Ryan Blaney ($9,700), Starting 3rd
Blaney’s last two finishes here have been finishes to forget. Despite leading 39 laps here last year and 10 laps two years ago, Blaney ended up finishing 28th and 36th in those races respectively. Prior to those two mishaps, the Penske driver recorded two straight fifth-place finishes giving him five total top-fives here for his cup career. The Ford’s qualified well here for the most part and Blaney could find himself upfront by the end of this race.
Ross Chastain ($10,300), Starting 8th
Despite starting outside of the top five, Chastain figures to be a driver that can make some noise in this race. LAst year Chastain led a race-high 68 laps after starting 11th. He finished second to Logano after having one of, if not the best car all day. Ownership should be low on him considering a few factors making Chastain a very appealing tournament dominator.

Place Differential Targets
Tyler Reddick ($8,800), Starting 34th
With an already-low salary Reddick was going to have plenty of intrigue at a track he’s had plenty of success at. Reddick has posted p6, p7, and p6 finishes in his last three trips to Vegas and led 32 laps last year. After engine issues forced him not to qualify, Reddick will have to start towards the back. This gives the 45-team plenty of place differential and should make him the highest owned driver.
Josh Berry ($8,000), Starting 32nd
After the unfortunate accident Chase Elliott had snowboarding, Berry will fill in for Elliott. Qualifying wasn’t the best for Berry and he had a little mishap yesterday in the XFINITY race but he ended up finishing fifth. In fact, Berry has won two career XFINITY races at Vegas and has an average finish of third. Put him in a good car in a great situation and you just might have a big P.D. play.
Harrison Burton ($5,600), Starting 35th
Despite a rocky season-plus of his Cup career beginning, Burton has a ton of ability and has performed well here at Vegas at the XFINITY level with four top-10’s in four career races. Starting back at 35th, there is a lot of opportunity for Burton to pick up some P.D. points.
