Twelve games today, I would bank on a TON of offense tonight.
WEATHER
NYM @ NYY – The Subway Series could have a delay tonight, but 1000% they will play.
COL @ WSH – Yep. This is one of those classic Natioanls rain delays where they leave the Skittles Tarp on the field for 3 hours while it is NOT raining and then suddenly decide to PPD the game because they’ve collected enough Beer and bad Ben’s Chili sales on the concourse. Buyer beware here folks.

Here’s the great news today folks. There is just ONE Asian born pitchers that I can write up, which is a great thing since they seem to really HATE me with a passion and no, I am not gonna use Julio Urias today.
MY NUMBER ONE
JUSTIN VERLANDER (DK: $9100, FD: $9600)
Rain could be a concern, but they’ll get the game in & Verlander in Yankee Stadium is a show up spot even for the old man.
SECONDARY OPTIONS
KYLE HENDRICKS (DK: 6800, FD: $8300)
Here’s the good news folks, he isn’t Asian, so I feel comfortable making him the #1 SP2 today. This is the other in city rivalry series as the Cubs visit the White Sox but and much like the NY one there is ZERO buzz here between two teams going nowhere in the second half of the season. The White Sox have faced some good strikeout arms lately, which is one reason they grade poorly over the last week and Hendricks gets a boost — but I think it should continue here and finding the cheaper pitcher is the first thing that jumped out at me today allowing for some options for those building more than one lineup with the high $ pitchers.
AARON CIVALE (DK: $7200)
I doubt the Royals have figured out Civale, who dominated them right before the all-star break and with his depth of pitches should keep them off balance here today again.
OTHER NOTES
- We follow up the Pirates and Pares game last night with two Dick’s going today, Rich Hill and Blake Snell.
- Abbott seeing the Brewers AGAIN cannot end extremely well for him, after an under last night, this should be a game with offense tonight and Burnes gets hit enough to not use him again.

FAVORITE CORES …
SERPIENTES
Christian Walker, Lourdes Gurriel, Emmanuel Rivera
Steven Matz a fun lefty to beat down is coming off a great start vs the Cubs and a great start twice before that vs the White Sox. Call him Mr. Chicago who is nowhere near Chicago tonight and we saw Walker get going last night, while Lourdes should get going tonight.
BRAVES
Ronald Acuna, I don’t care if he is 6700…. Jesus, $6700??, Travis d’Arnaud, Marcell Ozuna
Should I tout up Marcell Ozuna again?

Hell yes I will. It’s a shame Adam Duvall is on the Red Sox, maybe Atlanta can do something fun like trade for him rigiht before the game and he’ll hit instead of Ozuna to avoid tempting me to take a sub 4k Brave in Fenway Park since they’re going to hit 3-4 homers by the 4th inning today. Acuna might hit 3 himself.
METS
Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor
They’re not going to stay ice cold forever. Day off Monday, small park tonight. 2-HR potential for both on a slate which screams juiced balls around the league.
VALUE SPOTS
GUARDIANS
Josh Naylor, Steven Kwan
It really felt like the news on Shane Bieber took all the wind out of the sails on the Guardians. We’ll see how they do tonight against Zack Greinke and the Royals, who have been playing the season like they’re flying a sailboat in space captained by the person that was driving that submarine to the Titanic. In other news, Zack Greinke actually does look a little bit like Truman from the Truman show, who also captained a ship in an area where there was no real wind, but they found a way to make some and tonight, Josh Naylor should find a way to homer.
