Prepare yourself for the onslaught today, the onslaught of a ton of College Football games. Just enjoy the mad rush like Black Friday before people did all their shopping online and remember that the weeks ahead when we have a full slate of nothing but conference games will be easier to pick and choose the best spots from.
In other sports like Baseball I prefer a big slate. In College Football I prefer nothing more than ~10 games. We have 14! games on the MAIN DK slate today.
Let’s start by ruling some games off our list.
- Tennessee State vs Notre Dame: The Irish coming back from their Ireland trip and I don’t see Tenn St. doing anything to warrant going here at all.
- Portland State vs Oregon: I love Bucky Irving in this game, but Noah Whittington isn’t terrible and they’ve got some other options that can do work — including Bo Nix obviously who probably steals a touchdown.
- Utah State vs Iowa: Great basketball game. Shitty football game.
- Ball State vs Kentucky
- Northern Illinois vs Boston College
- Arkansas State vs Oklahoma
This is really another slate where the builds are going to be focused around sides more than ‘games’. Just for context here are some of the spreads today, -26.5, -36, -20, -36, -23.5, -27.5, -30, -28, etc… You get the idea. We’re going more with ‘Teams’ than any specific ‘game’.
BOISE STATE vs WASHINGTON
Each of the last 3 or 4 seasons I have jumped on a specific team at the start of the year as my ‘darling’ offense that I am really optimistic about. I don’t have as strong of a feeling as say the 2019 LSU Tigers team or even last years Tennessee offense, but boy do I really think this Washington offense is going to put up some BIG numbers — BIG, get it? See what I did there????. Thanks, I’ll be here all day folks.
This game actually could setup well for both sides to produce too, making it even better as a viable game stack. The Michael Penix to McMillan/Odunze connection is one we should look to feature as often as possible in DFS this season. I expect the passing volume to increase even more for Washington this season as well, so the targets/receptions for the WR make them solid plays & thus Penix becomes a good stack correlation here too. One of Devin Culp (TE) or JaLynn Polk (5700) is going to catch a touchdown today as Boise St does come in with a top ranked pass defense from a season ago, thus forcing Penix to go to his secondary options a little more often.

All the damn hype surrounding Deion and this game and you turn it on and Chandler Morris is going to be going off, is he not? He has gotten some comfort with the offense in some limited starts before and now coming in as the true #1 QB I think he is going to have a very good first game.

We have lots of ‘naked’ QB options today. Plenty of guys who should be able to do damage with their legs and with the blowout/non game stack correlation feel on this slate you’ll be just fine playing QB without a pass catcher
CORE OPTIONS
- Chandler Morris – TCU – 6900 … The turnover for the Horned Frogs and the pressure on this build up game are going to push Chandler Morris to have a disaster game or an explosion game. I definitely lean on him having the explosion game because he showed some pretty good flashes in limited time filling in for Duggan and the price tag is very ideal to get some of the strong WR on this slate.
- Joe Milton III – Tennessee – 8700 … The Volunteers obviously had a strong passing game a year ago and lost some WR talent to the NFL — but make no mistake they’ve still got some elite pass catchers here and that’ll help the rocket armed Milton hit value
ALSO CONSIDER / STACK QB’S
- Michael Penix – Washington – 8400 … Obviously my top stack option on the slate, but unlike Morris for example, you should not be taking him naked
- Quinn Ewers – Texas – 7700 … Oh hey. This guy. Lets not forget about the Longhorns, who shipped off Bijan Robinson to continue his football career of never playing for a winner in the NFL. Now enter the Quinn Ewers era of trying to make everyone forget that Arch Manning is looming behind him like the Undertaker
CORE OPTIONS
- Braelon Allen – Wisconsin – $6700 … It really felt like we didn’t get the true Braelon domination last season, but we will this year. A new offense and a new Quarterback should help that out overall — the Buffalo 108th ranked rush defense from a year ago also looms as a good boost for Allen to go over 100 yards out of the gate.
- Quinshon Judkins – Ole Miss – $6600 … There are two guys who I think are identical here today. Judkins and Bucky Irving. I am a big Irving fan, but the lean is going to Judkins for DFS because I see way more competition in the Oregon offense to limit Bucky’s upside. Otherwise, they’re the same guy, same game script, similar price tier, etc… Although Judkins is more talented overall.
FLEX OPTIONS

- George Holani – Boise State – $6800
- Jabari Small – Tennessee – $5800
- Jonathan Brooks – Texas – $5300
CORE OPTIONS
- Squirrel White – Tennessee – $5500 … Now is his time to take over as the big time play maker not just for Tennesse, but for the entire SEC.
- Emeka Egbuka – Ohio State – $7400 … Harrison vs Egbuka, like Wilson vs Olave if you will. Anytime we’ll have a $1700 difference you can expect the cheaper guy to get a good lean from me. I would guess the ownership will run heavy in this direction as well because it’s kinda an obvious pivot, so for the leverage crowd Marvin Harrison Jr. is not a bad play either. Also, water is wet, highlights at 11.
- Xavier Worthy – Texas – 6600 … I went back and forth on who would be my third WR on this deep WR slate. I dropped down the Washington options because I think the Huskies get things spread out more and I’m leaning towards a Quinn Ewers ‘show me’ game through the air.
SLEEPER PICK
- Cornelius Johnson – Michigan – $5700 … This is someone I am very high on this year within B10 play. He gets a nice soft start against ECU which should still have a weak secondary.
BEST VALUE
- Malik Washington – Virginia – $4200 … I don’t think he really counts as a sleeper, but with so many good WR Options today there’s a high chance he won’t get as much ownership as he should. We’re looking at someone for $4200 getting 6+ catches most likely.
- Devin Culp – Washington – $3100 … Big TE who is experienced and should get more opportunities for RZ looks than the other TE Jack Westover. Either way, there’s going to be a value TD from the Huskies today, I am banking on it being Culp
