Cole Custer ($10,500), Starting 2nd

Custer comes in two points out of the fourth playoff spot in this race and is coming off a good finish (second) last week. Earlier this season Custer started third at Vegas but finished a modest p12 in what was his worst Vegas finish at the XFINITY level in six career races. He has a fast car and could contend to lead laps early.

Josh Berry ($10,000), Starting on the Pole

Berry was eliminated from playoff contention last week but he’ll have a chance to play spoiler this week. Earlier this season Berry started fifth and finished fifth here at Vegas, a place that he’s made his own over the years. At the XFINITY level Berry has two wins, four top-fives, and his worst finish is seventh in five races. Also, Berry has led 38 laps and 65 laps at this track suggesting that he’s comfortable getting around here and should have a good chance doing so from the jump.

John Hunter Nemechek ($11,500), Starting 38th

Whether or not to roster JHN is the big question on this slate. JHN, who is at the top of the playoff standings right now, is the highest-priced driver but also boasts the highest floor. Fading JHN is a leverage play if you think that he’ll let down but it’s hard to imagine him not working his way through the field unless he runs into some trouble.

Sheldon Creed ($9,000), Starting 15th

It was announced earlier this week that Creed would not be coming back to Richard Childress Racing but he’s still a threat in the playoffs this season. With that said, there’s gotta be some extra motivation for Creed to get through the field and drive that number 2 car up front as much as possible.
