Chicago Bears: QB Justin Fields

• After a long layoff due to injury Fields showed out last week and it looked like the Bears took the training wheels off and just let Fields play. He accumulated 273 total yards (169 passing, 104 rushing) and had 18 rush attempts. If not for the Bears defense blowing a 12 point lead with a few minutes left the Bears would have won that game on the road. The Vikings defense has been inconsistent all season, although they have been better of late. Minnesota has allowed in the 205-270 passing yard range over the last three weeks against quarterbacks like Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston/Derek Carr, and Taylor Heinicke. Fields’ ability to use his legs will be a major x-factor as something else the Vikings defense has to worry about.

Minnesota Vikings: QB Joshua Dobbs

• Dobbs has been a godsend to the Vikings after losing Kirk Cousins for the season. Dobbs has recorded 24 or more DK points in three of his last four games and has done so with his legs as well finding the endzone on the ground in five straight games which we know is not sustainable. However, Dobbs has also recorded 40 or more rushing yards in two of his last three games. The Bears secondary is bad lending upside through the air to Dobbs.

Captain Plays

TE T.J. Hockenson (MIN)

• Hockenson has been getting Dobbs’ attention seeing nine, 12, 15, and seven targets in his last four games. Hockenson brings with him immense upside from the position posting 19 or more DK points in four games this season despite not finding the endzone as much as we would normally expect.

Others to consider:

• WR D.J. Moore (CHI)
• WR Khalil Herbert (CHI) – if D’Onta Freeman is out, he’s considered “doubtful”

Flex Plays

Chicago Bears: TE Cole Kmet

• Kmet has seen 10, eight, seven, and four targets in his last four games with four red zone targets over that span. Earlier in the season against these Vikings Kmet was looked at early with two receptions before Justin Fields left the game early due to injury. Tight ends such as Jonnu Smith (6/100/1), George Kittle (5/78) and Travis Kelce (10/67/1) have had success against the Vikings this season.
