The AMBUSH – NFL Wild Card

We have six games to get us through this nice 3-day weekend and I am going to cover all of them in one single article which you can then lean upon for the three different individual day slates.  I prefer the 6-game slates on both DK and FD, but obviously will roll into the Sat Only, Sun Only and Showdown as well.

Saturday

Browns @ Texans … Could be the best game of the weekend.  The Browns rolled them a few weeks back and that won’t repeat here.  Expect a close game with Cleveland winning it late.

Dolphins @ Chiefs … By now you likely know the drama here is all centered around the weather and how cold it will be.  I don’t see how this isn’t a significant impact on both sides.

Sunday

Steelers @ Bills … There is a God after all!  Look at all that snow ma!  Nobody, and I mean, nobody.  Circles the Wagons, like the Buffalo Bills.  A team that I have had dead and buried like Damar Hamlin all season long is now alive, and white hot.  The NFL had these guys put away.  The Broncos beat them.  The Eagles came from the dead to beat them and then Sean McDermott went full Al Qaeda to rally his troops and look what we have here.  The hottest team in the league, with a new OC who knows what he is doing and enough health on both sides to make a run.  The Bills are my Super Bowl pick, and so uh, yeah, we’re riding them here.

Packers @ Cowboys … If Green Bay’s defense shows up this will be a game.  If not, goodnight.

Rams @ Lions … Not gonna be the game everyone wants it to be, but it’ll be good enough to put up high 40’s total points.

Monday

Eagles @ Bucs … This game blows.  Tampa should run over Philly right now but my gut says the Eagles find a way to win and get a third meeting with Dallas after the Rams beat the Lions.

Ambush Play

Josh Allen … Allen is going to rush one in and without TJ Watt will not be pressured enough into making a turnover.  Buffalo scores 4 offensive touchdowns with Allen accounting for a minimum of 3 of them.

Other Considerations

  1. Matt Stafford
  2. CJ Stroud (Sat Only) … I was gonna lean Flacco but I really like Ford for the Browns there.  On Saturday only Stroud is the right play.

Ambush Play

Jerome Ford … I don’t see how the Browns win without Ford scoring and having 75+ yards rushing.  The Texans got torched by Cooper and Njoku before, and this time they’re going to need Ford to be effective, especially in the red zone.  Load up on Ford on Saturday for sure and make him a priority for the full 6 game slate

Other Considerations

  1. Jahmyr Gibbs
  2. Tony Pollard … Mr I did nothing all season showing up in the playoffs folks.  They’ll use him.
  3. Kyren Williams
  4. Aaron Jones … Gotta beat Dallas on the ground and since Jones has come back he has been a big key in the Packers offense
  5. Isiah Pacheco (Sat)

WR is very deep on this six gamer.  Oone guy I am not chasing is Amari Cooper.  He made us lots of money a few weeks back and we thank him for that, but we don’t need his services here again.  If you want a sleeper on Saturday only, the Houston WR would be the route to go, although with the weather in the Miami/KC game I don’t know how much of a “sleeper” they’ll be on the 2 game slate, but on the full 6 game slate, Noah Brown is gonna be too low owned IMO.

Ambush Play(s)

Amon Ra St. Brown … Love the chances for Brown to have 10+ catches this week.  Limited or no LaPorta and the Rams should struggle to contain him as well.

Puka Nacua … I have not gotten Kupp and Puka right all year long.  I doubt that changes here.  Buyer beware.

Khalil Shakir … Without Gabe Davis I like Shakir a big deal for $3400.  We’re getting a great value to pair with the hopes that Josh Allen has a solid rushing day himself.

Other Considerations

  1. CeeDee Lamb
  2. Elijah Moore
  3. Noah Brown
  4. Jayden Reed
  5. Demarcus Robinson … Big value chalk here, I like Shakir better

Ambush Play(s)

Dallas Goedert … Run, do not walk, no wait, do not run, SPRINT to the sportsbook desk and hammer the Goedert props here.  He’s going to destroy the Bucs and score what might be the only touchdown of the damn game.

Other Considerations

  1. Dalton Kincaid
  2. David Njoku
  3. Jake Ferguson
  4. Tyler Higbee
