Key Skaters
C Leon Draisaitl (EDM)
When looking at the red hot Oilers at home as a heavy favorite everyone’s first reaction would be to lock in Connor McDavid ($9,600) which is a move I can’t disagree with. That is until I see the price of Draisaitl sitting at $7,500, more than $2,000 less than that of McDavid. Draisaitl might be having an “average” season for his standards with 46 points in 41 games but he’s lit the lamp in three of his last four games and in eight of his last 11 when you look further. I can’t overlook this play and honestly am not opposed to rostering both he and McDavid together.
W Alex Tuch (BUF)
Looking down a bit as far as salary goes I can’t look far past Alex Tuch from the Sabres at $5,900. Buffalo is a massive home favorite against the lowly Blackhawks on Thursday and Tuch finds himself firmly on Buffalo’s top line and top power play unit. Tuch has posted double-digit DK points in four of his last six games and has scored in two of his last four games, all home games where he finds himself on Thursday.
