One specific game at risk tonight between the Royals and White Sox. Some heavy precip rolling in right around the time the White Sox get their 2nd hit of the night (7th inning), so they could be in a delay, they could PPD or they could just forfeit.

LOGAN GILBERT (DK: $9500, FD: $10,200) … Sometimes you a series that makes you excited and you think you’ll be all over it, only to completely whiff on the first game. I had the under here last night and old Steve would say hey, lets go contrarian thinking that Elly is going to rock Gilbert and Julio gets his ass in gear now for the Mariners against Hunter Greene. But no, I am going to be logical, the smart play tonight is the pitchers in a quiet low scoring game. Cincinnati is a strikeout target for pitchers in DFS, get on board with it — especially when they’re on the road. (Honorable Mention: Hunter Greene @ $9000)
JARED JONES (DK: $8500) … I would not hate if you wanted to just pay the extra $500 for Gilbert on FanDuel, but we have a good opportunity here on DraftKings. I do like Jose Quintana for the Mets in the same game for $1300 cheaper but the Jones upside is massive. Until his arm falls off, he is going to continue doing what he has done so far. This is the next Strider and we should be treating him like he is a $10-12k pitcher in DFS.
JP SEARS (DK: $6300) … I love the 2 1/2 pitchers mentioned above, so really those are your focus options tonight but if you want value I trust Sears. The Cardinals are bad and I don’t think Whitey Herzog’s Angel really cares to visit Oakland on his first night in heaven, no shot.

- Brady Singer … Only concern is rain and boy does Brady Singer HATE the rain. This is my reason for fading.
- Yusei Kikuchi, I say, regression. Not his 2024 regression (although that is coming), but more so his history vs the Yankees. You see, he has already faced them once this year and dominated them, so that second time is going to have a couple loud bangs with it. Do not tempt me with a good Yusei Kikuchi time, I am not in the mood for that today.
- Garrett Whitlock, too many walks, too few K’s. Tanner Bibee, will have a “2024 breakout” game soon. Not today
- White Sox SP Jonathan Cannon (not to be confused with Arizona Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon) is not listed on either site. When you google him by the way, you’ll find his picture and the picture of clearly some AI Generated Jonathan Cannon who claims to be … I don’t know what he claims to be, but he’s a total douche and so is this guy.

Hunter Brown should make it through the first inning tonight, but will still wind up giving up 4+ ER. Look, the guy went from 5 ER allowed, to 9 ER allowed and he did it in glorious fashion. Someone tell him to turn the ship around quickly, just not tonight.

Devers is back and Boston is loading out their full lefty suite against Bibbee as Tyler O’Neill sits today. Bibee isn’t terrible vs lefties but I would expect this to be a start with some long early innings
