We have a 14 game MLB schedule today with four games in the Turbo slate and Ten on the MAIN slate. This is excluding the Mets and Phillies who have been shipped over the pond to play two stupid games in London.
Additionally, we have no afternoon game on a Friday in the month of June, which is a complete abomination of American Pride. I thought we should be Proud of everything this month, no? If we are going to have a stupid game in London, can it at least be aired at 2PM EST today? Some of us have drinking to do.
In other news, the summer Baseballs appear to be making their way into stadiums. Park factors in 2024 (and 2023) just have not been what they once were, but I am sensing this weekend we’re going to see the traditional “ball carries” ballparks start to play back up. Great American Ballpark, Yankee Stadium, Comsikey, Anaheim the specific spots on the main slate tonight that could see this boost.
WEATHER
All clear

It’s a balanced slate tonight as there is no ‘Ace’ pitcher, but a lot of really good pitchers going. Sorry, Yamamoto is not an ace yet in my book, you gotta at least spend more time here to be a true Ace and neither is Grochet considering the White Sox are hammering their opponents ML each night. It’s interesting that the only players who are “betters” who are getting busted are the ones that are losing. I am told that nobody loses money when they bet on Baseball, per Twitter at least. So this leads me to think that the books are not outing those who are winning their bets because they want to make sure they get some $$ back before they do. So, yeah, the White Sox are definitely betting against themselves and winning… Anyways, back to the pitching.
CHRIS BASSITT (DK: $8300)
Long time former Athletic is back out in the Coliseum, a big park for someone who needs a big park. Given how cold Seth Brown, JJ Bleday and Abraham Toro have been I am confident in Bassitt returning to Oakland today.
LOGAN WEBB (DK: $7700)
Everything and I mean EVERYTHING with pitching tonight starts and ends right here, with Logan Webb versus Texas. I am assuming that Corey Seager is going to be OUT tonight but that’s only an minor hiccup if he is in the lineup. Where Webb has struggled in 2024 is with his change up and Semien, Garcia, Langford all look like easy outs with that primary pitch of his.
LANCE LYNN (DK: $7400)
This is where we are on this slate, considering Lance Lynn at home. The Rockies really do not have much on the LHH side to destroy him and he’s only coming off a 78 pitch start his last time out, so his fat ass might not be too tired tonight.
MICHAEL LORENZEN (DK: $7600)
This slate is so, so, boring for pitching. Consider Lorenzen a perfect SP2 to pair with Webb or anyone else as he is pitching just as good as anyone else on this slate tonight over the last month.

ROYALS
Pasquantino + Witt + Velasquez
Very warm in Kauffman stadium tonight & I would load up on recommending Seattle too but they’ve been so, soo bad of late that nobody will want to even touch them – but if I told you there would be 15 runs in this game, you would want either side, no?
Vinnie has been putting together some great AB’s and I think we’ll have a nice little “anything you can do, I can do better” series between BWJ and Julio Rodriguez.
CUBS
Ian Happ + Seiya Suzuki + Nico Hoerner + Patrick Wisdom + Christopher Morel
Cubs are the only 5+ man stack I see tonight. Definitely 2-3 homers in this lineup.
I thought that under last night was perfect for a while and then the balls just kept flying out. Chicago’s been great vs LHP of late and we have to ride a streaky Seiya Suzuki now that he looks like he will be awake. This is also Ian Happ’s favorite road ballpark + Christopher Morel is showing consistent power.
OTHER HITTING NOTES
- DODGERS vs YANKEES: No doubt this sounds like a series that MLB will juice the balls in. Ohtani has RAKED in Yankee Stadium, which, uh, makes sense for his swing. Tough stacks, but okay for one offs.
- RED SOX: Go Cheap if you go here. Refsnyder/Wong/Cooper
- ASTROS: Kyle Tucker is probably out still, he rakes in Anaheim and should be noted as such if he returns.
- BLUE JAYS: The model liked the Jays today vs Hulk Hogan Harris. Of note, the Jays have gone 28 straight games without scoring in the first inning and eventually that’s gotta change, no?

CATCHER
I would prioritize getting in other studs than paying up at catcher today.
- Austin Hedges
- Mitch Garver
- Salvador Perez
- Miguel Amaya
FIRST BASE
- Shohei Ohtani … 1B or OF, if you can afford $6500 you will start your night off with a 14 on DraftKings
- Vinnie Pasquantino
- Justin Turner
SECOND BASE
- Nico Hoerner
- Gavin Lux
- Dylan Moore
- Nicky Lopez
THIRD BASE
- Nolan Arenado … Buy low situation. He has shown some signs of life lately.
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr … Yes, he is 3B eligible now
- Christopher Morel Jr. / Patrick Wisdom … Like both guys here. Wisdom vs LHP is boom or bust early on in the game.
- Maikel Garcia
SHORTSTOP
I wouldn’t be caught dead using anyone besides these guys tonight….. And uh, yeah, it’s one guy. Sure, Mookie is 1b. After that there is nothing.
