Trying to make heads or tails on this type of slate is never fun and the main reason is just trying to dissect all the FBS/FCS match-ups that we have been forced to digest on this kind of slate. If you want to have some fun with it, we can do that, but I’m far more interested in the real schedules once they start up this coming Saturday.
Then, of course, DraftKings rolls out a series of big contests to get all of the degens out there on this Thursday night.

- North Dakota State … Because who wants to go to South Dakota State?
- Lindenwood … This is in Missouri and is not to be confused with Longwood, which is in Virginia. But I have some Longwood stories to share one day if we ever get them…. Shit, I don’t think they even have a football team.
- Murray State … Better known for Basketball
- Western Carolina … That’s West of East Carolina
- New Hampshire … Sure… Whatever
- Southern Utah … Rednecks AND Mormons. Kinda dangerous combination

Look, there’s teams favored by 44+ points on this slate. Some teams have a team total below 14. It’s ugly and it’s clearly a slate where you can stack a single team in a blowout and just try to make sure you don’t have any eggs out there.
UCF (vs UNH)
KJ Jefferson should get to make UCF fans feel good about him for a couple of weeks. This is a cupcake start against New Hampshire and the full UCF stack is likely to be a smart pick tonight.

Playing 2 WR from the same team is definitely the best play today. You kinda need to go all in on some passing attacks to win this slate. Here’s the lead guy and teams I like.
- Kobe Hudson (UCF) … So many options here and I can certainly see UCF getting someone else some easy reps, but Hudson should get 100 yards and then check out after the 1Q.
- Bryson Nesbit (UNC) … TE1 for the Tar Heels and will be a consistent pass target. A good play to use against a respectable pass defense.
