CFB DFS: The Tailgate – Nov 29th>
STANFORD at SAN JOSE STATE
Without a doubt this is a game you tan double QB stack and not get burned by it.
- Walker Eget – San Jose State – $6200
- Ashston Daniels – Stanford – $5400
- Justin Lockhart – San Jose State – $6400
TEXAS STATE at SOUTH ALABAMA
This should wind up being the ‘game of the day’ if you really like close, back and forth mid level college football. I say mid-level, I’m being generous here folks to sell you on the Bobcats and Jaguars
- Kentrel Bullock – South Alabama – $5000
- Kole Wilson – Texas State – $3000
- Walker Eget – San Jose State – $6200 … With two really good receivers and Stanford allowing high completion rates on the season this is a scenario where Eget can have one of his air it out 300+ yard games and correlate very well with either WR or both if you want to jam them in together. Love that San Jose State is at home as well and think they cover the -3 easy.
- Ashton Daniels – Stanford – $5400 … Play as a correlation with Eget only IMO.
- Parker Navarro – Ohio – $8300 … While a lot of ownership will slide on 2xQB on this slate, this is the only other one I would really go out and pay for. His rushing upside trumps Dart and Sanders enough
Sorry, I just cannot pay 14k in any football contest for any player. Even Jeanty … who, yeah, might score 4 touchdowns in the first half today.
- Kentrel Bullock – South Alabama – $5000 … Along with Fluff Bothwell ($6300) this is a nice 1-2 punch for the Jaguars as Texas State comes in for what could be a very under the radar sneaky game today.
- Justin Marshall – Colorado State – $4000 … Marshall has logged double digit carries in four straight, so he should be in line to once again if Avery Morrow remains banged up. Morrow left after just a couple carries against Fresno State. This is a “soft” matchup against Utah State, so taking a risk on the much lower owned Morrow is definitely in play but the knee injury is a big risk.
- Anthony Tyus – Ohio – $6200
- Justin Lockhart – San Jose State – $6400 … Many years from now (like, 4 if we’re being honest), I hope to be sitting around either a fire or a bar and someone brings up the name Justin Lockhart when looking at their phone for some random trivia. It will bring a smile to my face. A name that is not a frequently known player for DFS or even someone with much of a future in football after he is done playing in college, but he has forever been one of my guys going back to his Nevada days. After missing last season he came back for a 6th year this year and has had a career best 4 touchdowns. Going out as a Senior without a 5th is not an acceptable answer today. Lock and load on a 29 yard touchdown going right to left at the top of the end zone. He is the #1 in this WR stack from SJST.
- Kole Wilson – Texas State – $3000 … For what it’s worth, Wilson went 6-102-1 vs South Alabama in 2023. He has a 20+ yard catch in basically the last 6 games he has played in. The 3x or 4x floor here is legit real.
- Jordan Watkins – Ole Miss – $5400 … Lane is not going to let up today. Jaxson Dart is not going to let up. Ole Miss WR are fantastic plays with Watkins taking the lead dog role right now as Tre Harris remains always injured.
ALSO LIKE
- Joey Hobert – Texas State – $6300 … Assuming this game does stay close I give a lean on Hobert. He’s far more likely to have a 5 to 6 catch game than Jaden Williams or Kole Wilson, who is a great value at $3000 and probably chalky with some high priced studs at QB-RB-WR. But the consistency of Hobert as a reception machine is good in a 64% opp comp % match-up.
- Nick Nash – San Jose State – $10.1k … Similar logic as Jeanty here.
- Trent Walker – Oregon State – $5600
- Kevin Coleman – Mississippi State – $6000
