Fiesta Bowl: Penn State vs Boise State
- All systems go here on both sides
- I expect the over to hit on this one with both teams being able to deceive the other team enough to hit some home run plays.
Texas Bowl: Baylor vs LSU
- Baylor is relatively full go here while LSU is thin on defense in the secondary, has some massive OL changes as well and is down key skill position players — which really just opens up the value aspect on this game.
- The key item on this game is that you have two ascending Quarterbacks (meaning they’ll be back next year really). The LSU offense definitely is at risk of coming out very flat and struggling, but we aren’t spending much for RB’s Caden Durham/Josh Williams and definitely not on Aaron Anderson/Zavion Thomas and TreyDez Green
OTHER BOWL NOTES
ReliaQuest Bowl: Alabama vs Michigan
- The spread on this one being only 2 touchdowns means that there is a little security baked in just in case Milroe and Ryan Williams decide to OPT out at the last minute but everything is trending with them playing and if they do, I think Alabama is going to win this one without my concern.
- Lots of changes coming on the Michigan side. Zero motivation for them IMO.
Citrus Bowl: South Carolina vs Illinois
- Gotta monitor SC RB Raheim Sanders availability — declared for NFL Draft
Sun Bowl: Louisville vs Washington
- Louisville will be without Tyler Shough, JaCorey Brooks, with Senior Harrison Bailey listed as starting QB
- Washington RB Jonah Coleman is returning in 2025 and looks like he will be a go
MY TOP PLAY
LaNorris Sellers (South Carolina – $8500) … Over 50% owned projections here, so we don’t get a break there. But this is his game to shine and really put his name on the map for those who still do not know him.
SUPER FLEX OPTIONS
- Desmond Williams Jr (Washington – $5600) … Williams has been announced as getting the start in their Bowl game with some potential that Howard comes in as well, so the price is fair here, but if he gets heavy work load then he has potential to do just fine even at 75% of snaps. He is labeled more as a scrambler than a runner, which in my mind is perfect for buying into as he’ll probably be quick to pull it down and run when the first read isn’t there.
- Drew Allar (Penn State – $8100) … Perfect in a full game stack scenario.
MY CORE
Ashton Jeanty (Boise State – $10,900) … Elite RB slate, but not one where I am going to fade the #1 play on the board. He’s gonna get the volume and he will score twice in a high scoring game out in Arizona
RB2/FLEX OPTIONS
- Bryson Washington (Baylor – $8500) … Hard to see LSU stopping the run much today
- Jam Miller (Alabama – $4200) … Just imagine for a moment that Alabama rolls up 50 on Michigan and Jalen Milroe does the unthinkable and returns for another season? They’re gonna fucking destroy everyone next year if that happens. It wont. But its interesting to think about. And in clear get ready to prepare for next season – Miller would be a hard guy to ignore in the FLEX at this cheap price.
- Isaac Brown (Louisville – $7100)
- Nicholas Singleton (Penn State – $7500)
MY CORE
Harrison Wallace (or Omari Evans) (Penn State) … My slate winner? Our slate winner(s)? If this game is a shootout my friends it will not simply be the PSU ground game and Warren. Through the air is where they can attack Boise State and big plays vertically through these two will be the difference today. I’m going with Wallace but Omari Evans is going to have a big target here or two which could prove to be a nice value play as well. Also totally fine to just heavy stack Penn State with both Warren and Wallace + Allar in the SupeFlex.
Zakhari Franklin (Illinois – $4400) … With no Pat Bryant it’s very hard to see Franklin not coming in 60%+ ownership and also going over 20 FPTS. His ceiling isnt that of say Ryan Williams but 8 for 85+ is most certainly in play and that’s good enough even without a touchdown.
TreyDez Green (LSU – $3000) … The bare minimum for LSU’s 6’7 Freshman TE who now becomes arguably the #2 pass catching option and given their challenges on the OL he could be a nice target to release for short check downs in situations when he is in to block or release quickly. While Aaron Anderson definitely has the higher ceiling today, I can plug in this value and still be confident it pays off.
SECOND TIER
- Aaron Anderson (LSU – $5700)
- Matt Lauter (BOISE – $3400) … Can swap this with Wallace/Evans if you choose to go Warren instead as the pay up WR.
- Ryan Williams (Alabama – $6700) … Talent matters. He has it. Michigan doesn’t.
- Giles Jackson (Washington – $6100) … Gonna need Williams to throw it once or twice for Jackson and/or Boston to pay off.
