The Dongers Club – July 20th

Well it appears FanDuel has officially moved on for the MLB season.  They have a slate posted, and honestly I used to love the all day Sunday slates, but why with the inconsistency?  Who knows.   This is the long way of saying that the 4PM games are on the MAIN slate on FanDuel.

It’s just an 8 gamer on DK.

WEATHER

All clear

GARRETT CROCHET (DK: $10.4k, FD: $10.3k)

Yes, it’s a day game at Wrigley. Yes, it’s the Cubs. Doesn’t matter. Crochet is the only guy today with 25+ point upside. Don’t overthink it.

JEFFREY SPRINGS (DK: $5900, FD: $8000)

Springs could be considered in the ‘Sleeper’ spot today, however this is as much of a pairing with Crochet as it is his own matchup.  Cleveland’s scored 14 runs the last two games which is nice & all, but still a team that I dont believe much in offensively and definitely n ot against LHP.

OTHER PITCHING THOUGHTS

  • Bubic, Pivetta, Suarez, Gore … I think these four are going to get ownership and I think all four are in the second tier as they run into problems.  Of the group, Bubic is the most likely to be safe
  • Andrew Heaney is tempting.  But, cmon.  White Sox definitely sweeping the Pirates.

FOR FANDUEL / LATE

  1. Woo vs Brown is the obvious SP game.  It’s really not even close with the other two games and Brown is going to smash.
  2. Merrill Kelly SP2
  3. Kershaw gets hit, but the Dodgers win.

NATIONALS

Abrams, Wood, Garcia, Lowe, DeJong

My pivot today.  Going into the Nationals Park humidity game and riding on the Nationals to light up Pivetta here.  Four lefties starting it off is going to be the 1-4 stack you have to ride, with Paul DeJong being my wild card sleeper play of the day.

CITI FIELD

We dont have the Mets lineup yet, so double check it all but if you aren’t riding the Abrams/Garcia/DeJong infield then why arent you playing Lindor, Vientos, Mauricio, Alonso?  Whats the big excuse here.

Austin Hays/Steer for Cincinnati.
