The Dongers Club – July 25th

WEATHER

Overall there’s a good amount of spots tonight that have weather to monitor, but it doesn’t appear any of them are going to be bad enough that there is a PPD

  • Rockies at Orioles
  • Rays at Reds
  • Phillies at Yankees
  • Padres at Cardinals
  • Guardians at Royals:  This is the one divisional game on this list, so worth keeping a close eye on

For a 13 game slate it’s not as sexy of a list of pitchers as we would want.

  1. LOGAN WEBB (DK: $9300, FD: $10,200) … Webb and Woo are your only west coast options that we would look at for a late hammer.  The Mets offense going into an equally large park the way they’re just average of late (hitting .207 as a team since ASB) is gonna end, but not yet.
  2. SHOTA IMANAGA (DK: $9900, FD: $9700) … A little southside Chicago battle this weekend.  Why, this game is not being played in the afternoon even at the New Comiskey is beyond me.
  3. DEAN KREMER (DK: $8000, FD: $9000) … Everything in my soul says the Rockies will come in to Camden Yards and sweep the lifeless Orioles.  But the Orioles did finally wake up and win a game yesterday in Cleveland & Kremer is … well, he’s pitching well?  It’s hot, it’s humid, the ball will carry, but he is likely going to be a popular SP2 option & they are still the Rockies.
  4. JOSE SORIANO … Adding him as the best mid/value option

So with all those bad pitching options we gotta have some heavy stacks, right?  Well, not quite.  It’s definitely a one off night out there as most pitchers will finish 7-12 FPTS and you don’t have a heavy amount of lineups that post 12+ runs.

But it is a good hitting night overall.

DODGERS:  They’ve been dead for a while.  Teoscar Hernandez vs the Red Sox ignites them along with the no fucking doubt about it Shohei Ohtani homer.  Oh, did I mention Mookie back in Fenway too?  Yeah, load em up on this one with the overs tonight.

PADRES:  Tatis / Sheets / Merrill
