Hello There! We are to what is one of the best single Sport cards of the year. No, these aren’t all elite games, but it’s just a perfect menu of college football ahead of the NHL returning, some random NBA games and of course two NFL games nobody really cares about today.
So, clearly, this is the day 48 hours after Christmas where your schedule is completely cleared of any family or spouse duties and you can sit back and get drunk and enjoy the slate of football games. Me, personally, I planned well ahead here and took my wife up to NYC for a couple shows before Christmas to clear the Xmas-New Years calendar….
Oh, so you’re gonna be live tweeting and relaxing watching all these games today Renner? …..

You, see, what had happened is … Well, let me just bore you with the details. Had a nice event planned for seeing the Nutcracker in NYC and got to the entrance only to find out someone scammed my third party ticket purchase and we couldn’t get in. But, hey, the dinner before hand was top notch. So, naturally, I, uh, had to make it up and now we’re going to see the Nutcracker today at 2:00 PM.

However, they do serve cocktails there.
So, yeah, I’ll be that guy, drunk, at the Nutcracker and cheering on randomly while trying to casually figure out how to look at my phone without anyone noticing me checking on football games being played at Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium… What do you mean the Nutcracker doesn’t have Tigers and Lions and Huskies?!?!?!?!?!
Anyways..
On with the Slate Analysis…
CLEMSON vs PENN STATE
The Pinstripe Bowl – New York City

We are into the time of year when the Bowl games go over and this one always looks like an under, smells like an under, but gosh darnit the game finds a way to go over with some stupid special teams nonsense. My guess is that it comes from the Clemson side getting the win with tons of Penn State new walk ons being able to probably play today.
- Pick: Clemson -3
ARMY vs UCONN
The Wasabi Fenway Bowl

Because who doesn’t associate Fenway Park in Boston, Mass with Wasabi? Oh, not that Wasabi. Well, whatever, thankfully I have no connections who work there so we can make fun of them for sponsoring UCONN in a Bowl game.
- Pick: Not touching this game…
BYU vs GEORGIA TECH
The Pop-Tarts Bowl

Not only is it the very famous POP-TART Bowl, but it features two of the best teams coming into the Bowl Season with two great Quarterbacks that are playing. This is it fellas. We are all in. No hesitation.
- Play: Over 55.5
FRESNO ST vs MIAMI (OH)
Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl

As great as the Pop Tart Bowl is, this one is equally as bad. Remove it from your memory….
SAN DIEGO ST vs NORTH TEXAS
New Mexico Bowl

Now, we are talking. Drew Mestemaker is claiming he will be playing today and comes in at a whopping DraftKings salary of $4,500. Fantastic job fellas. Even if the Aztecs boast a good pass defense, we have to consider him here as I think he is definitely going to play and try to light it up. The real chalk play though comes in the form of Lucky Sutton for San Diego State as the RB should be in every lineup without hesitation.
- Pick: OVER 52.5 & San Diego State +6
MISSOURI vs VIRGINIA
TaxSlayer Gator Bowl

Not really sure how Missouri is a solid -4.5 on this game….. I just don’t see it.
- Pick: UVA ML if Taylor is in.
HOUSTON vs LSU
Kinder’s Texas Bowl

There shall be zero defense in this game, its a great late night hammer.
- Pick: OVER 41.5

- Bear Bachmeier (BYU – $8700)
- Haynes King (Georgia Tech – $9000)
- Drew Mestemaker (North Texas – $4500)
SLEEPERS
- Conner Weigaman (Houston – $8500)
- Chandler Morris (UVA – $8000)

Lucky Sutton (San Diego State – $5700) … The chalk RB who will get 15+ pts in the first half against the worst rush defense on the board (well, close to it).
Adam Randall (Clemson – $6100) … Randall has been a pretty consistent option for the Tigers all season long & should have plenty of goal line chances again today.
Noah Short (Army – $5000) … UCONN literally has nobody here, Army should literally be able to control the clock all game long.
J’Mari Taylor (UVA – $8300) … Sleeper pick today if he decides so suit it up. It’s a late kick though so you got a ton of salary here you have to take a shot on. Could easily wind up in a 0.
Enoch Nawahine (BYU – $4000) … Enoch and Jovesa Damuni (Freshman) are expected to be the primary RB for BYU today and both offer fantastic value in any game stack with both Quarterbacks.
Amare Thomas (Houston – $6300) … Kind of a steal here tbh. LSU is down a ton on the defensive side of the ball. Thomas should have a big game and Connor Weigman has already said he is coming back next year.
Parker Kingston (BYU – $6200)
TJ Moore (Clemson – $4800) … Can also take a shot on Tyler Brown here. Lots of targets opened up for Clemson passing game at good value as future Cleveland Brown Antonio Williams is going to the draft.
TreyDez Green (LSU – $5200)
Mr. Automatic in the red zone.
Wyatt Young (North Texas – $7100)
Potential opt out and a big reason why we could be skeptical of the chalky Mestemaker & others stack as Hawkins, Young and Coleman are all potentially out. But if Young looks like he is a go and Hawkins is out then you gotta think he gets a shit ton of volume. Hefty price to pay either way.
