ARMED FORCES BOWL – Rice vs Texas State
Live from Ft Worth, Texas, with great weather. Third string QB for Rice today in this one and a clear path for Texas State passing game. We should like some offense here.
LIBERTY, LIBERTY, LIBERTY, LIB-ER-TY BOWL – Navy vs Cincinnati
Live form Memphis, Tennessee where we’ll have some light rain throughout the game and the consensus here is that the Bearcats have zero desire to even be in this bowl game. I mean, who the hell wants to go to Memphis around New Years?
DUKES MAYO BOWL – Wake Forest vs Mississippi State
Literally the worlds worst Bowl game coming to you live from Charlotte, NC but from a football standpoint, this is pretty decent. Not just closer to home, but overall the make up of the roster and how they finished has the Deacons as the pick for me.
HOLIDAY BOWL – Arizona vs SMU
And the night capper, the final non CFP Bowl game for us to feast upon – the holiday bowl from San Diego, CA. Both Fifita and Jennings are playing and so naturally that is where everyone’s gonna point too. Arizona has been coy about who is opting out though, so with this game comes some big risk on the skill position plays. I’m going to ask the Football God’s to give us that one solid 41-38 Bowl OT game here with everyone playing.
This is a pretty solid QB slate. Both Jackson and Ashford should have success against their opponents with Ashford being the one who can absolutely go off today. To me he is the CORE must play Quarterback on this slate. Jennings and Fifita are tempting, but I would lean to play them together.

- Brad Jackson (Texas State – $8,500) … Cant play Jackson without TWO receiving options. He’s probably the chalk QB along with Sparks at WR for sure & thus the best QB2 for my builds today.
GAME STACK OPTION
- Kevin Jennings (SMU – $7,600)
- Noah Fifita (Arizona – $7,800)
- Alex Tecza (Navy – $6,500)
- Quinton Jackson (Rice – $5,800) … Jackson has to have a big game for Rice to stay anywhere close in this one. If you are on the over for the game, you should be using him.
- Lincoln Pare (Texas State – $7,500)
VALUE DECISIONS
- Bearcats RB: Manny Covey (4k) and Zion Johnson (4400) for Cincinnati are expected to be RB1a & RB1b today vs Navy. Neither really jumps out as easy button options, but on a slim RB slate and in a likely run heavy game, both offer good salary relief
This is a deep WR slate, one where you’ll play 4 of them most likely.
- Kris Hutson (Arizona – $5,800) … I believe he is playing & he is going to want to put on a show
- Beau Sparks (Texas State – $6,500)
- Aaron Turner (Rice – $4,900) … You can pass on Texas State, not sure that Rice is going to be able to do that well but if they do Turner was a receptions machine
