This is the strangest set of games I have seen all season long when we consider all factors involved. It’s basically like everyone has said ah fuck it who wants to pitch today since we’re about to go into our final series before the all star break? Vacation mode has definitely set in. I am going to avoid mentioning a player in this article today and if you have paid attention from last nights article and from a couple weeks ago then you should be able to pick up on that which is missing from this article today.

On this slate we have former Vikings and Saints WR/TE Jake Reed on the hill, and I fully expect Chris Carter to follow him which has to be my greatest pun on names in the history of doing DFS analysis. Get it? Chris Carter and Jake Reed former Vikings teammates and Chris Carter was a former Baseball player. Speaking of which, whatever happened to that guy. He was Khris Davis before Khris Davis who is now gone himself and … well shit, who is the new Khris Davis? Don’t say Joey Gallo, he can play defense. I’ll accept nominations…
Also pitching tonight is Humberto Castellanos, no relation to Nick. He is now with the … wait, who he play for? Oh yes, Arizona. Yeah, more like Humbertno.
I gots no clues who be pitching for Mets in their second game of a DH tonight and that game is only on DK.
Ross Detwiler will be opening for the Dodgers. So we have opener vs opener down in South Beach. Just fire this fucking game to the moon and end it in a 1-0 final awarded to whichever team can put a runner on base first.
Zack Wheeler
Cubs offense is ice cold and Wheeler is white hot, which certainly points to both things changing course because that’s just how things work. But what is great about Wheeler is that he’s always going to give you 100 pitches or close to it and while Javy Baez is the one Cub raking right now he is also the least likely to do damage off Wheeler today.
I don’t mind an Alec Mills game stack on pitching with Wheeler. But he is still up against a ceiling.
Yusei Kikuchi
I say … why the heck not? These jokes will never get old for me and considering I’ve never been much of a fan of the soft tossing Japanese pitcher I will continue to use them to make myself feel better. A soft tosser (junk pitcher) against the Yankees might feel dangerous but we’ve seen the Yanks pop off one night only to come back and look horrific the next night. The All-Star lefty for the Mariners should get through 6 tonight without much damage.
It’s hard to really trust a couple of the sleepers tonight but I personally expect better than you would think spots from Patrick Corbin and Antonio Senzatela, if you had to ride one, it would have to be Senzatela as a much more viable SP2.
Toronto Blue Jays

Blah blah blah. Yada Yada Yada. Acuna Mattata…. Toronto lost to the Orioles last night and was still a good stack — IF — you had the right players of course. Which is how stacking always works out and which is why just in general “stacking” is not always the winning formula even though 80% of the field does it and thus thats why it works. It’s like saying that the winner of a golf tournament was using a Titleist golf ball, no shit, majority of the field uses them. Anywho, the Jays back in Camden again tonight against Harvey/Hess/whatever the Orioles decide to roll out. Load up on some Jays and hope for the best. Vlad will get his as usual, Bichette is long overdue still for that 2 HR game and of course the Teo/Springer/Grichuk OF combination are fantastic plays here as always.
San Francisco Giants
Yaz/Crawford/Dickerson
Johan Oviedo has not had any luck against good lefty lineups and the Giants have plenty of lefties to do damage. This slate sets up as one where we can look at below average ballparks for offense and the Giants at home are about as consistent as they come.
Colorado Rockies
Blackmon/Story
Likely a bullpen game from the Diamondbacks and that’s not very encouraging. Love the Rockies tonight.
Oakland vs Houston
Kemp, Andrus, Olson … Altuve/Tucker
Looks like a high scoring series again between these two AL West rivals and Sean Manaea is a big fella who should have a hard time with the Astros lineup today. Like Houston to jump on Oakland but also expect Luis Garcia to continue to struggle as he has lately and Kemp-Andrus-Olson is a good value stack on OAK.
