The model is very much on J.A. Happ today against Pittsburgh and the Pirates have been striking out more vs LHP which is a big reason why it’s on him. Can we love Happ? No, but it’s basically between Happ, Gallen and Freeland for cheaper options today and I’m gonna give the model a bone here since I honestly do not see any major reason to like one over the other when it comes to risky choices. Although I definitely do not like Gallen.
JOE MUSGROVE
On one hand there is Aaron Nola vs Austin Nola drama tonight but the obvious play here is going to be everyone stacking the SP’s and both should do decent but I would much rather take Musgrove against an ice cold Phillies lineup presently.
BOSTON RED SOX

Sound the alarms, Boston should hang 8 or 9 on Jordan Lyles tonight and if they don’t then well we’re dead. Good value on Schwarber and Verdugo today.

While the Braves are a “obvious” play to many against Matt Harvey, the Orioles against Drew Smyly are in a very good position tonight to me as well. His ISO against RHP is better than LHP but when it does get hit hard, it’s going out of the park with 14 HR to RHB allowed. A good boost for Hays, Mancini, Mountcastle tonight.

Holy hell this lineup is my nemesis lately but it’s hard not to like em against Pittsburgh and a very warm Busch stadium tonight.
