A little unusual Tuesday slate as we are back to having a bunch of earlier start times for teams in September, so with that only 12 games on the MAIN slates tonight. The great news considering today is September 7th is that there are NO weather issues in any of the games, so that is one less thing to have to sweat out today.

Zac Gallen
Rangers had a night game last night in Anaheim and then jetted down to Arizona afterwards. They’ll get the pitcher who I believe is going to shine all September long as we see Zac Gallen get to remind everyone in fantasy land why he was a coveted draft target before being shut down back in March. Lock him in as our top pitcher tonight vs the Texas Rangers.
Max Fried
One of my guys is making another appearance here in the Dongers Club and he rarely disappoints. He is a significant savings on Cole and Nola as higher end pitchers tonight but has 6-7 inning consistency with limited damage in almost every start.
Jackson Kowar
I wrote about how Kowar in his last start was likely to pitch well because it’s a trust in players who have very high scout grades and had a ton of success in the minors to be able to figure things out after their initial struggles in the big leagues. Kowar’s initial appearances in the majors was met with a ton of jitters and command issues where he was throwing the ball in the dirt five feet in front of the plate one pitch, then nearly taking the batters head off the next pitch only to throw a perfect strike one pitch later. He got sent down, got his issues under control and then returned to dominate a decent Indians lineup his last start. He should fare well again tonight on the road vs Baltimore.
Popular and will be okay:
Blake Snell – Just not my favorite pitcher in the world but at home vs the Angels he’ll have a hard time not being just fine for lineups tonight.

Kansas City Royals
Salvy, Mondesi, Whit
Yes, they only scored 3 yesterday. They’re not gonna leave Camden without a 10 run game and we should get Mondesi back in the lineup tonight. Whit and Salvy vs a mediocre at best LHP in Alex Wells are core plays.
LA Dodgers
Turner, Turner, Pujols
This is a big time price discount tonight on DraftKings. All four of the top of the lineup (projected) Dodgers tonight are 5k and below against J.A. fricken Happ — who had early success in a Cardinals uniform only to completely die his last outing. This is not a lineup for him to be able to rebound well against tonight.
Cincinnati Reds
Castellanos, Naquin, Votto
This little Cubbie winning streak has gone on too long and they’re getting Votto after a day off which cannot bode well for them tonight. Look for a big Red explosion and at 2% ownership tonight in the windy city.

TONIGHT’S CHALK
Giants, Yankees
Lots of Coors Field ownership for the Giants against Chi Chi Gonzalez, which is not a bad spot to ever dive into for sure, but as always with Coors it’s more about finding alternatives outside of Coors and tonight I like the Royals/Dodgers as the heavy spots with some Coors Bats sprinkled in. Just remember that Chi-Chi allows more power to RH bats, so Bryant is the primary Dodger to lock in.
