Overview
The Camping World Truck series makes it’s way to Bristol Motor Speedway for a Thursday night race. Located in Bristol, Tennesee and known as the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile”, Bristol is one of the fan-favorite tracks in NASCAR. The .533-mile track is highly banked ranging from 26 to 30 degrees in the turns and 6 to 10 degrees on the straightaways. The drivers will go 200 laps totaling 106.6 miles making dominator points extremely prevalent this week. In each of the last four trips the trucks have made to Bristol, the front two rows have led the majority of the laps. you can see that info below:
Race | Driver, Laps Led (Starting Position) |
8/16/17 | Kyle Busch, 109 (Pole) |
8/16/18 | John Hunter Nemechek, 104 (3rd) Johnny Sauter, 58 (4th) |
8/15/19 | Ross Chastain, 78 (2nd) Brett Moffitt, 65 (1st) |
9/17/20 | Brett Moffitt, 117 (2nd) |
More often than not track position from the jump of this race is imperative as far as dominator points go. Nailing the dominators and avoiding the Bristol chaos will reward us with some good finishes on DraftKings with the trucks. Check out who I’m setting my sights on below!
