World Series Preview

What should be a really good World Series between two teams playing excellent down the stretch and into the playoffs will begin tonight.  Relatively speaking the only major injury from how they have been operating coming into the World Series is going to be Houston playing without Lance McCullers Jr and that’s a significant loss for the Astros if they can’t take the series early.

There are a ton of World Series Prop bets that we can dive into and I’m not going to get too much into the Showdown/DFS aspect of things in this article but certainly use the guidance on how were betting these props for the Showdown spots when applicable.

First off, I believe the series will go a minimum of 6 games and I strongly think this is a 7 game series.  In fact, both Houston World Series have gone seven and I can’t imagine the Braves sweeping Houston either so this is going to be a 7 game series in all reality, which means that for many of the props we can easily take the over in them and have a great hedge out opportunity if the series is sitting 3-1 at any point.

Houston Astros Props

Alex Bregman OVER 5.5 Hits

Bregman is one of my favorite plays on Houston all series long.

Jose Altuve OVER 6.5 Hits

We damn well know he will hit at home during the playoffs and in a 7 game series he should have 7 hits.

Michael Brantley UNDER 6.5 Hits

Houston has a tough decision to make when they go to Atlanta for three games.  They likely cannot risk sitting Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker and Brantley may end up sitting when they face Max Fried in game three.

Alex Bregman OVER 0.5 Home Runs

Atlanta Braves Props

Austin Riley Over 5.5 Hits

The Braves cannot win without Riley having a good series

Travis d’Arnaud OVER 4.5 Hits

For those who don’t remember the Braves played a series in Houston’s stadium last post-season and TDA was the star going 6-10 with 2 HR in three games there.  He’s going to get plenty of AB vs LHP here too and should smash this.

Eddie Rosario UNDER 0.5 Home Runs (+185)

Everyone is riding Rosario given his hot streak but MLB hot streaks do not carry over into the World Series (remember Daniel Murphy?).  Too good of odds here to pass this one up considering once Rosario goes cold they could sit him for other options when they are at home in Atlanta and dont have a DH.

Travis d’Arnaud – Most Home Runs in Series (+2000)
