CFB Tailgate – Dec 17th

We have a lot of Bowl games coming up and so long as there are 2+ games I will be giving some thoughts on each of them on a daily basis.  For the spots where there is just one game I won’t be touching it in DFS but will provide a BET in the discord if I have one.

A major word of caution with the Bowl games.  I do not suspect that information is going to be very good out of the teams given the current situation with COVID/Omicron.  We should hopefully know if guys have opted out of the Bowl Games well in advance, but getting news about players being ruled out due to covid is likely a challenge with some of these lesser highlighted Bowl games.  Do some searching on Twitter for key players before games and if you find something be a good sport and share it in the Discord.  I will do the same.

Bahamas Bowl

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders vs Toledo Rockets (-10.5), over/under: 50

They are expecting very strong winds, I was leaning the under in this game already and would go there even more now.  Toledo will lean on Junior RB Bryant Kobak a good amount and on the 2 game DFS slate he is a must own.

Cure Bowl

Coastal Carolina (-10.5) vs Northern Illinois

Coastal is the top team on this slate and Northern Illinois had their “bowl” game when they won the MAC Championship in my mind.  Load up on a full Coastal stack centered around QB Grayson McCall and WR’s Jaivon Heiligh/Isaiah Likely.  Coastal should win this game by 3 or more scores in my mind and so you will not be upset with having 4 Coastal players in your lineup.

If NIU has any success it should be through WR Trayvon Rudolph or Cole Tucker who is a nice cheaper play.
