MACTion Tailgate: 11/7

Ball State at Toledo

Trust the game with the most options in it for a stack tonight and that would be this one by a slight margin.

Everything for Toledo though is through the running game and they will rush for more touchdowns than they will throw tonight.  So the big question is will Dequan Finn be the one to do the rushing or is it going to be one of or both Jacquez Stuart & Peny Boone.

Both JayShon Jackson and YoHeinz Tyler will be critical for Ball State, who can cover here if they get a decent game from John Paddock who we know is going to throw it a ton, so the catches will be there and really both are going to do just fine.

Ohio at Miami (Ohio)

Brett Gabbert gets the advantage but Rourke is gonna do what Rourke does.  All things equal though, take the $1200 difference with Gabbert for sure and consider Gabbert as a S-FLEX option here in a game stack.

  • Mac Hippenhammer
  • Kurtis Rourke

We would be stupid to not use two Quarterbacks this evening and they do not necessarily need to be from the same game because we’re not likely to have 70 point outbursts on the scoreboard.

Brett Gabbert – Miami – $7,000

I like Gabbert a good amount.  He’s making his third start since returning from an injury and has just 1 TD in the last two games but when he faced Ohio last November he dropped 5 TD and 492 yards on them.

Ohio hasn’t improved much defensively against the pass this year allowing 56% TD rates through the air.

Pair Gabbert with Hippenhammer and move on.

Dequan Finn – Toledo – $7,800

Finn has 8 rushing touchdowns on the season and probably is in line for another one tonight vs Ball State.  There is a path in this game where Ball State can try to move the ball themselves to push this to be a higher scoring game, but I cannot see them stopping Toledo.

DJ Irons – Akron – $7,100

Irons is arguably the best value toing tonight but even I am too nervous to bank on Akron actually winning today – however if they do it’s because of him and Shocky Jacques Louis.

These first two players should be the first two names clicked into lineup(s) tonight.  They dominate their team’s backfield touches and have extremely favorable match-ups.  Lets not overthink it and move along.

Carson Steele – Ball State – $7,100

Samson Evans – Eastern Michigan – $7,500

Peny Boone – Toledo – $4,000 / Jacquez Stuart – Toledo – $4,100

Both are among the better value plays going tonight.  Yes, you can pair them with Finn as well.

Mac Hippenhammer – Miami – $5,600

Six catches, 93 yards and a touchdown.  The question will be can he get over 100 yards receiving tonight or 2 touchdowns.  Either way, he’s a core play.

Jayshon Jackson – Ball State – $6,500

Teammate YoHeinz Tyler is ok too, but Jackson’s clearly the main weapon for the Cardinals when they go to pass.  He is coming off a massive 17 target game as well.

Hassan Beydoun – Eastern Michigan – $5,900

This guy has burned me so many times when we play MACtion and even burned me on a normal slate last year if I recall.  So forgive me for being a little hesitant with Assan, but Akron sucks so he’s in play along with Tanner Knue … If Akron exposure is a must for you tonight – then the EMU passing game is too.

Shocky Jacques Louis – Akron – $3,900

Favorite value WR and opens things up quite a bit for roster construction.  Nice correlation with the dipshit above too.
