Monday Night Football – Week 13 – Saints at Bucs
Tom Brady and the banged up Bucs face his regular season nemesis and the banged up but getting healthier Saints tonight on MNF.
Tampa suffered a couple more bad injuries in their loss to the Browns in week 12 when OT Tristan Wirfs and DB Antonie Winfield Jr went out. Those are some bad losses and the Wirfs one only further lessens the chances of Brady coming out and throwing it 40 times tonight. Not to mention it’s an evening game and he hasn’t exactly been stellar in those. Then again, obviously neither has Andy Dalton, who is once again getting the start for New Orleans because he plays just well enough and keeps the offense in sync on a few drives here and there.
A lot of signs point to the under tonight and the method for Tampa’s two wins since Brady came to Tampa has been to trust the run game to put them in many third and short situations while stiffening up on the Saints in the red zone. If Tampa is in third and long and New Orleans executes in the red zone, this is an easy Saints win today.
For showdown, that doesn’t mean much. But for a Same Game Parlay, you should correlate Saints anytime TD’s with the over/Saints covering unders with the Bucs winning.
Notable Injuries
Saints
TE Juwan Johnson OUT – This opens things up for Adam Trautman who has been involved enough with Dalton, but obviously also opens it up more for Taysom Hill. The Saints are thin here so youre gonna see them go with 6 OL a good amount tonight (more on that below)
Defense: Payton Turner, PJ Williams OUT, Lattimore, Roach, Werner questionable…. Turner hurts rush DEF and depth, Lattimore should play and Wener back would be huge for defending the Bucs RB.
Bucs
Everyone on offense should be a go minus Wirfs
DefensE: Winfield and Murphy-Bunting doubtful

Captain Picks
WR – Chris Olave – The Saints likely will go lots of max protect tonight and jumbo sets, I can see them having success with play action and Olave should be able to win 1:1 matchups all night long.
WR – Chris Godwin – This is all about figuring out the TD scorer for Tampa Bay. I can see Russell Gage getting a touchdown if he suits up but he won’t have the volume and targets that Godwin will.

FLEX Player Pool
New Orleans Saints – Top Flex Options
Pos | Player | Tier | Flex $ | Comments |
GOAT | Taysom Hill | 1 | $6,400 | Yes, Taysom can be used in the Captain Role too. He’s scoring tonight. |
RB | Kamara Ingram | 1 2 | $10,000 $4,400 | I believe the Saints can win this game through their RB tonight. Kamara is coming off arguably his worst game as a Saint. |
WR | Rashid Shaeed | 3 | $1,400 | They continue to make sure to get Shaheed on the field and his speed threat is a key element against a physical and slower Bucs defense. |
WR | Tre’Quan Smith | 3 | $2,600 | Death. Taxes. Tre’Quan touchdowns vs Tampa |
